Job Description
As a Business Development Manager for Northern & Eastern Europe , you will spearhead the identification and exploration of strategic opportunities within the Clinical Research sector. Your mission is to maximize organizational growth by leveraging your industry insights, fostering key relationships, and capitalizing on emerging market trends.
Reporting Line: Head of Business Development & Support
Your primary responsibilities encompass:
- Strategic Growth Leadership , you'll leverage your profound understanding of current market dynamics to spearhead the expansion of our Clinical Research business. Your focus will be on cultivating enduring relationships with both new and existing customers, emphasizing customer satisfaction and fostering repeat business.
- Engage proactively in Dynamic Networking Initiatives , uncovering fresh opportunities within the (bio)pharmaceutical industry. Forge pivotal relationships that serve as the bedrock for our business development endeavors.
- Demonstrate your adept negotiation prowess as you showcase Masterful Negotiation Skills . Successfully finalize business deals, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements that elevate the success of our Clinical Research initiatives.
- Collaboration Excellence and Business Insight , establish robust ties with internal functional departments, acquiring an intimate understanding of their services. This knowledge forms the cornerstone for identifying and supporting lateral business opportunities, promoting a seamlessly integrated approach to client solutions.
- Champion customer needs through Client Advocacy and Process Mastery . Effectively represent them to internal functional departments and navigate the intricacies of the proposal and contract development process, ensuring a streamlined and client-centric approach;

Qualifications
- Possess a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Life Sciences, Business, or a related field of study.
- Demonstrate substantial experience and expertise in Clinical Research Organizations. Understanding of the clinical drug development process.
- Highlight a well-established client network , with a notable emphasis on the DACH region.
- Demonstrate a track record of at least 5 years in sales and/or business development within the Life Sciences sector.
- Fluency in English is a requirement, and competence in German .
- Experience working remotely and independently , with occasional client visits (approximately 10% travel annually).
- Anticipate participation in two team gatherings in Belgium annually and attendance at an average of 5 conferences per year.
- Experience with Salesforce as the operational CRM tool will be a plus.
