Job description
For over 40 years, our client has been providing development solutions for the automotive and aerospace industry in Europe, China and the United States.
The group supports manufacturers and equipment suppliers in their development projects, from design to industrialisation in the automotive sector.
It also offers job opportunities across the entire value chain, from development to vehicle industrialisation: Bodywork/Design, Interior and Exterior Equipment, Engines and Electricity/Electronics, as well as project and quality management, logistics / industrialisation and validation.
They are currently looking for a Vehicle Dynamics System Engineer.
Responsibilities
Reporting to an activity manager, you will be responsible for the technical areas of "chassis, braking system and automotive steering / automotive dynamics":
Contribute to product performance and customer satisfaction by translating system requirements into various technical functions and functional specifications.
Analyse/understand the needs to be specified within your scope.
Establish functional and dysfunctional standards.
Converge the requirements in relation to the system constraints with the various parties involved.
Write and validate the functional and/or software specifications with the various parties involved, in compliance with systems engineering rules and ensure traceability.
If necessary, model the requirements using systems engineering tools (optional).
Specifying requirements in relation to the project(s).
Monitor development and convergence.
Providing system business support to the teams and various contacts.
Write the associated generic validation plans.
Requirements
You have an engineering degree or 5 years' higher education. Experience in a similar position in the automotive sector.
This is a highly responsible position requiring rigour, organisational skills and the ability to stand back in order to propose relevant solutions.
You have the following knowledge and experience experience:
Knowledge of automotive systems engineering
knowledge of the various technical documents
Experience of Matlab and Simulink.
Experience in writing functional specifications.
Knowledge of DOORS
Knowledge of the chassis / braking system / steering system / steering / vehicle dynamics would be a plus.
Ability to read and understand a specification
You also have excellent interpersonal skills and a strong spirit of challenge.
Fluent in written and spoken French and English C1
