We are actively hiring a Principal. The Principal will serve as a leader in the firm and will be responsible for cultivating relationships with clients and ensuring company teams meet project expectations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Serve as the leader to the project team. Guide the owner, internal team, and consultants by unifying all goals throughout the project for timely execution of deliverables through oversight of project scope/schedule/budget.
• Responsible for project management function and team success.
• Maintain a healthy relationship and communication with theowner.
• Serve as the owner’s trustedadvisor.
• Handle high level and difficult conversations withclient.
• Lead clients in long-term planning of future projects.
• Manage owner/architect agreements process withowner.
• Facilitate negotiation and in-house contracts team for all consultant agreements prior to startingwork.
• Mitigate risk and make decisions in the best interest of thefirm.
• Responsible for developing revenue projection and discussing cash flow withclient.
• Responsible for scheduling, managing, and leading all meetings with client representatives (users & facilities staff).
• Attend and present as necessary at clientmeetings.
• The Principal is accountable for the designated responsibilities as specified in the project leadership responsibilitymatrix.
• Attend all meetings with designated client leadership and convey information to Project Manager, Project Architect or Project Leader.
• Act as communication liaison between client and project team.
• Mentor a team of technical/design-oriented professionals by exposing each member to the processes and tasks necessary to encourage well roundeddevelopment.
• Responsible for the financial success of the project.
• Procure resources for newprojects.
• Ensure overall quality assurance of all projectdeliverables.
• Maintain proficiency regarding building materials, construction methods, cost, codes and regulatory requirements in collaboration with Project Practice.
• When licensed, maintain licensure and serve as the Architect of Records.
• If not licensed, facilitate the designation of the Project Architect as the Architect of Records.

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

• Cultivate clientrelationships.
• Coordinate with the marketing team to execute business developmentgoals.
• Participate in the RFQ and interview process for newbusiness.
• Represent brand at marketing conferences, conventions, and clientfunctions.
