At Vivara, a vibrant and independent startup in Barcelona, we are on the lookout for a Lead Experience Designer to join our incredible team. Backed by GCO, Vivara is all set to transform the rental management industry and bring a wave of confidence and ease to the housing rental game. As a Lead Experience Designer, your role will be instrumental in shaping Vivara's unique ecosystem, dexterously navigating the world of apartment hunting, and making perfect matches between landlords and tenants. With a strong focus on tailoring our approach to individual needs, we are determined to create a delightful rental experience for everyone and become the preferred choice in the premium rental market.
You will be here to pioneer our journey design. This role is pivotal in crafting a user-centric product used by our tenants and landlords. As a strategic partner, you'll join forces with business, tech, and product leaders to grasp the company's vision and goals, aiding in the discovery of unique market opportunities. Your hands-on approach and problem-solving prowess are crucial in directing journey design and influencing the technical approach, with the ultimate aim of delivering an outstanding, customer-focused result.
Responsibilities
- Define and steer the full design strategy lifecycle, from research to conceptualization and delivery
- Work closely with Product and Tech leaders to define key design goals and align them with the roadmap and vision
- Be the voice of the customer and translate it to actionable design and product inputs
- Continuously gather and communicate user and market research insights
- Lead working sessions to empower cross-functional team members to meet the customers’ needs in every sprint
- Build the foundations of the user journey and develop wireframes, mockups, task flows, prototypes, and visual design solutions, implementing the right tools
- Ensure user journey quality while aligning visual design to Vivara’s brand and values
- Collaborate with the product management team to identify and prioritize new product features and enhancements, constantly looking for innovative approaches
- Share your expertise and inspire others by providing guidance and mentorship to more junior team members, nurturing a culture of innovation and collaboration
- Staying updated on industry trends and best practices, constantly refining our design process to deliver exceptional user experiences
Requirements
- You are a seasoned Product or UX Designer with experience designing digital products and strategies, in collaboration with Product and Development teams
- You master design tools and methods including Figma and Design Systems
- You are customer-obsessed and have strong experience conducting user research
- You have a deep understanding and experience in user-centric design principles, information architecture, usability, and interaction design
- You have experience in fast-paced and agile working environments and have a strong track record in prioritizing and delivering projects on time
- You have a collaborative mindset, having experience mentoring junior colleagues to maximize the team’s potential
- You follow a growth mindset and enjoy continuous learning, participating in design events, conferences and/or courses regularly
- You have excellent communication skills in Spanish and English
