Job description

A well-known multinational company from the FMCG sector is looking for a talented and self-motivated individual, to join its Supply Planning Europe team at Barcelona's Hub. About the role The Supply Planner is responsible for balancing demand & capacity for own produced products by managing all operational tasks connected to mid and long-term planning. The main target is to safeguard product availability to secure Service Level at optimal cash and cost position. What will you do Based on mid and long-term capacity/demand plan, proactively identify potential shortages and recommend and coordinate changed allocation for assigned area. In case of shortages, leads or supports resolving shortages and capacity demand issues in close cooperation with the local Factory Planning, Demand Planning and Market teams including communication to the relevant stakeholders. Support/contribute to the monthly S&OP for assigned area. Follow up on actions out of the S&OP regional and executive reviews. Reporting and follow-up of relevant KPIs and supply situation (Service Level/planning KPI/Cover Days, etc. ). Initiate local root cause analysis in case of major deviation. Participates as planning representative in various projects, e. g. , change of products allocation, European launch projects, lines start-up. Acts as interface and coordinate cross-functional activities in cooperation with Factory Planners, Sales & Marketing, Product Marketing, Demand planning, Business Logistics and Controlling. Continuously strive for cost, cash and service optimised allocation structure to support improving the end-to-end Supply Chain. Supports the rest of the EMEA planning team in other product areas and various activities. Who you are Strong proven experience in Production Planning, Materials Planning and Supply Network Planning. University degree or equivalent in Business Management, Engineering, Logistics or similar. In depth knowledge and experience in planning, logistics and inventory management. Proven practice of leadership skills. Understanding of business processes, products, and basic production processes. High IT-proficiency in planning and Supply Chain management systems. Organisational and network skills in an international / matrix environment. Advanced mathematical and analytical skills. Business understanding & holistic view. Excellent communication and influencing skills. Drives performance and demonstrates urgency. Act as a team player.
