What you will do

At Volvo Group Trucks Purchasing you will contribute to the transformation of our company, the transport industry and society at large. 
As a Supplier Quality Engineer, you have a full end-to-end ownership of your portfolio.
During the sourcing step, you contribute with quality inputs to secure that we chose the most suitable suppliers for our current and future business. Your work continues throughout the project step to secure a quality assured product development and process readiness. After serial production start, you continue to follow and challenge our suppliers through continuous improvement work and zero default mindset. Risk management skills are core in all three steps: sourcing, project, and serial production.
Examples of topics you will come across are RTS (review of technical specification), APQP, PPAP and different kind of audits at supplier. This required you to build and develop a large network of partners from Supply Network, Buyers, Engineering, Production Plants, Project Organizations, Warranty Department, and other stakeholders. Since this is a position facing our supply partners directly it is important that you take a leading position, driving for results according to Volvo Groups expectations.

Your Future Team 
The Supply Network Quality organization, belonging to Volvo Group Purchasing, is driving the global supplier base towards premium automotive quality standards and world-class performance. We are responsible for continuously improving the supplier base and the quality of purchased parts. The three main internal customers/brands for the Supplier Network Quality in Europe are Volvo Trucks, Renault Trucks and Volvo Bus. The position is in the Autonomous, Safety and HMI team which is part of the SNQ EEA department (Electronics, Electromechanics and Autonomous solutions). We have team members located in Gothenburg (Sweden) and Lyon (France).
