ABOUT THE ROLE & TEAM:

 

To support Global SITA Messaging Business, collaborating with the Sales organization: Account Managers, Service Managers, Contracts, and Pricing. Business Intelligence Manager – Messaging will support the GEO and act as the interface between the Messaging Business Unit and Sales Organization to develop the market and support existing customers, protecting existing revenue and growing the business. Primary duties will include oversight and management of messaging business to include market analysis, customer profiles, commercial/pricing strategies, recommendations on commercial models, sales pipeline support, all to generate business with new contracts and optimize renewals. Primary goal is to help the BU and GEO achieve their revenue and margin objectives while providing market/customer feedback into the Messaging Business Unit product team.

 

  WHAT YOU WILL DO:

 

  • Supporting the regional (Sales) organizations to manage and generate Messaging Business.
  • Setting account/opportunity commercial strategy and competitive positioning in collaboration with the account and bid managers and GEO commercial/financial leadership.
  • Weekly activities include market analysis (stakeholders, market segments, competition, technology evolution), Customer profile generation, and close interaction with Sales organization.
  • Assisting Account teams in qualifying customer requirements and working with technical sales
  • Track and report key customer statistics, model customers patterns, and provide input into Messaging business plan.
  • Qualify new customer/new market requirements, and collaborate with the Product Management team to provide the most appropriate solution
  • Work with regions on the analysis of SITA Messaging as a whole. Other responsibilities include customer meeting support/presentations, supporting implementation of customer orders, and coordination of activities between the Regions and Product Portfolio teams
  • Financial modeling support of applicable opportunities including items that will impact budget/forecast and market
  • Work together in the areas of reporting, analysis of existing messaging traffic, risk analysis, recommendation of winning traffic back from competition, and presentation/preparation of how customers use SITA Messaging.
  • Work closely with the stakeholders for Messaging Business Development, Market trends, requirements qualification and commercial/pricing recommendations.

EXPERIENCE:

 

  • Bachelor Degree in Business Management, or Data Sciences, or equivalent (other degrees acceptable with appropriate experience)
  • Fluent in English
  • Second Languages: European highly desirable
  • International work experience highly desirable
  • 6 + years in business management, sales, business intelligence, or some combination
  • 4 years of experience in similar roles where commercial and mathematical modelling is required.
  • Preferably having worked in a multinational company
  • MS Office, specifically Excel and Powerpoint (Office 365, mastery of excel pivot tables, basic excel macro coding, a plus).
  • Experience with Power BI and other similar tools (Database extract and understanding of SAP BusinessObjects BI tool a plus)

 

NICE-TO-HAVE:

 

  • Second Languages: European highly desirable
  • International work experience highly desirable
  • Knowledge of the Air Transport Industry and the messaging standards (IATA Type B, Type X, EDIFACT) a plus
  • Experience with Kibana and data bases is a plus
  • 3 to 5 years in business analytics and business intelligence based on data mining a plus
