Research Projects Management Technician (Ref: MGMT 202406)

The Institute of Chemical Research of Catalonia (ICIQ) is seeking a Research Projects Management Technician. This position will be funded by NEXTICIQ project GPEfunded by MCIN/AEI/10.13039/.

ICIQ is one of the worlds internationally recognized leading institutions in the field of chemistry committed to solving major social and economic challenges by conducting top quality research in three main areas: Sustainable Catalysis Renewable Energy and Health . The Research Project Manager technician will work at the Research Projects and International Collaborations Unit supporting the preparation of European competitive projects.

The Research Projects and International Collaborations Unit helps researchers at ICIQ identify interesting calls prepare the applications and manage competitive projects awarded by international and national research agencies and foundations.

Responsibilities

• Funding: Identify new funding opportunities for the research lines at ICIQ

• Project preparation: Support the definition of research projects advising on project partners preparation of budget support on proposal writing and submission.

• Liaising between research group leaders and other ICIQ support areas for the daily running of the projects

• Project Coordination: Monitor the progress of work anticipate possible problems and maintain excellent communication with the Principal Investigator and with the Project Officer or equivalent from funding agencies. Organize and participate in consortium meetings teleconferences reviews and other events. Prepare and submit highquality periodic reports on time (collect and review consortium information).
• Science policy: Analysis and participation in the definition of roadmaps and strategic agendas
• Others: Collaborate to improve the operation of the different units involved in the research projects implementation by sharing best practices

Requirements

• University Degree (Chemistry related degrees might be an advantage).
• Research experience or PhD
• Excellent communication (both oral and written) and networking skills
• Advanced level of English Spanish and Catalan (written and spoken) is required.
• Team work skills
• Proactive and enthusiastic personality
• Used to working under pressure with strict deadlines
• Availability to travel within Europe

Valued qualities:

• Previous experience and training in research project management and knowledge of European research funding
• Experience/knowledge on science policy
• Good knowledge of CERCA centres and the Catalan and Spanish research system
• Awareness of knowledge and technology transfer processes

We offer:

• A fulltime permanent contract linked to NEXTICIQ project GPE(until December 2024).
• Annual salary split into 12 monthly payments.
• Remuneration according to the candidates qualifications/experience
• Incorporation: Immediately

ICIQs selection process usually entails the following phases:

LInstitut Catal dInvestigaci Qumica (ICIQ) busca un/a Tcnic/a de Gesti de Projectes dInvestigaci. Aquesta posici est finanada pel projecte NEXTICIQ referncia GPEfinanat per MCIN/AEI/10.13039/.

LICIQ s una de les principals institucions lders mundials reconegudes internacionalment en el camp de la qumica compromesa amb la resoluci dels grans reptes socials i econmics mitjanant la realitzaci dinvestigacions dalta qualitat en tres rees principals: Catlisi Sostenible Energies Renovables i Salut. Linstitut tamb t com a objectiu formar la futura generaci de cientfics oferint programes educatius dalta qualitat a estudiants de mster doctorat i investigadors postdoctorals (tots els detalls sobre ).

El/La Tcnic/a de Gesti de Projectes dInvestigaci treballar a la Unitat de Projectes de Recerca i Collaboracions Internacionals donant suport a la preparaci i coordinaci de projectes competitius europeus.

La Unitat de Projectes de Recerca i Collaboracions Internacionals ajuda els investigadors de lICIQ a identificar convocatries interessants preparar les sollicituds i gestionar projectes competitius atorgats per agncies i fundacions de recerca internacionals i nacionals.

Responsabilitats:

• Finanament: Identificar noves oportunitats de finanament per a les lnies de recerca de lICIQ
• Preparaci de projectes: Donar suport a la definici de projectes de recerca assessorament als socis del projecte preparaci del pressupost suport en la redacci i presentaci de propostes.
• Enlla entre els responsables de grups de recerca i altres rees de suport de lICIQ per al desenvolupament diari dels projectes
• Coordinaci de projectes: supervisar el progrs del treball preveure possibles problemes i mantenir una comunicaci excellent amb linvestigador principal i amb el responsable del projecte o equivalent de les agncies finanadores. Organitzar i participar en reunions de consorci teleconferncies i altres esdeveniments. Preparar i presentar informes peridics dalta qualitat i a temps (recollir i revisar la informaci del consorci).
• Poltica cientfica: Anlisi i participaci en la definici de fulls de ruta i agendes estratgiques
• Altres: Collaborar per millorar el funcionament de les diferents unitats implicades en la implementaci de projectes de recerca compartint bones prctiques.

Requeriments:

• Titulaci universitria (les titulacions relacionades amb la qumica poden ser un avantatge).
• Experincia investigadora o doctorat
• Excellents habilitats comunicatives (tant orals com escrites) i treball en xarxa
• Es requereix un nivell avanat dangls castell i catal (oral i escrit).
• Habilitats de treball en equip
• Personalitat proactiva i entusiasta
• Capacitat de treballar sota pressi amb terminis estrictes
• Disponibilitat per viatjar per Europa

Qualitats valorades:

• Experincia i formaci prvia en gesti de projectes de recerca i coneixement del finanament europeu de la recerca
• Experincia/coneixements en poltica cientfica
• Bon coneixement dels centres CERCA i del sistema de recerca catal i espanyol
