We are looking for an experienced Senior Editor/Project Manager to handle all aspects of the production of our luxury lifestyle magazine and website about Mallorca.

If you are a talented writer and a native English speaker and feel you have sufficient experience to manage the production team of abcMallorca, we would like to hear from you.

abcMallorca is the leading digital media platform and lifestyle magazine for Mallorca. Established in 2003, the online platform supports over 6 million visitors and we currently publish 6 themed editions of the luxury magazines annually. What the job entails

As the person responsible for the creation and production of the trilingual magazine and maintenance of the website in English, Spanish & German, the main task is project managing and quality controlling all aspects of the production process.

The job involves: creating content ideas, assigning and quality controlling the copywriting, editing articles, coordinating the translations and requesting photos and overseeing the graphic design, and ensuring the magazine is published within the required deadlines and to the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities

Tasks include:

• The management of all the available editorial resources to meet the required deadlines and high standards.
• Overseeing the creative process of content creation for the magazine and website.
• Project managing the coordination, commissioning, editing and quality control the production process.
• The ideal candidate will be able to write/edit at a high level in English, Spanish and German.

• We are looking for a talented, creative, and highly organised person who is able to work on his/her own initiative, as well as fully engage with other team members.
• Speaks and writes fluently in English, Spanish and German.
• Good local knowledge and a passion for the island and all it has to offer.
• Ability to write well researched, interesting content for the magazine and website.
• Excellent project management, communication, and people skills.
• Experience in a media/publishing/marketing environment is a big advantage.
• Good knowledge & experience in creating marketing content.

Start date: As soon as possible, prompt availability.

Type of contract: Permanent contract, full-time position located in Palma centre.
