SDN Network Specialist - Santander Digital Services

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
As an SDN Network Specialist you will build out, maintain, and troubleshoot our rapidly expanding infrastructure.
You will be part of a talented team that demonstrates daily superb technical competency, delivering mission critical infrastructure and ensuring the highest levels of availability, performance, and security.
We need somebody like you to help us in all these on-going challenges:
Manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure.
Install, configure, test and maintain the network infrastructure, DNS, Load balancer, switches, routers, also SDN elements like VMware NSX and different network management tools.
Perform network maintenance and system upgrades.
Proactively ensure the highest levels of network and infrastructure availability.
Monitor and test application performance for potential bottlenecks, identify possible solutions, and work with Support & Engineering Teams to implement those fixes
Write and maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time on any tasks
Participate in the design of information and operational support systems
Provide 2nd and 3rd level support
Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution
Work within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval and success of changes made to the network infrastructure.
EXPERIENCE
5+ years’ experience as Network Specialist with main focus in switching and routing.
Specific experience in the financial sector is a plus.
EDUCATION
Education System Engineering or other relevant IT degree.
SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
Proven hands-on network engineering experience
Deep knowledge of Arista /Cisco underlay switches.
Experience with SDN Products (e.g., NSX, CISCO ACI)
Deep understanding of networking protocols (e.g., Leaf & Spine Topology, IPSEC, HSRP, BGP, OSPF, 802.11, QoS, VXLAN, EVPN).
Solid understanding of the OSI or TCP/IP model.
Hands-on experience with monitoring, network diagnostic and network analytics tools. Monitoring Tools (Netscout, CA Spectum, VMware VRNI, Arista Cloud Vision Portal).
Load balancer – F5, AVI.
DNS - Infoblox, bind.
Public Cloud experience preferably in AWS and MS Azure is a plus.
Solid scripting skills (e.g., Shell scripts, Python, Power Shell,).
Cloud architectures (vCloud, Azure/AWS).
Automation (AVD, Ansible).
Experience in Agile Methodology and Tools (Kanban, JIRA, Confluence…).
OTRA INFORMACIÓN
Availability to perform punctual network maintenance work after hours.
Performing the On-Call support. Monthly rotation.
