Job Title Cloud Solutions EngineerAmadeus R&D has developed a strong transversal unit responsible in TEC organization to deliver Cloud platform capabilities, middleware components, and services to all Amadeus Applications. Its mission is to serve all Amadeus clients’ size and segments worldwide (airline, hospitality, travel agencies. . . ), by providing frameworks, resources, and services with a strong level of resiliency, scalability security and re-usability. Be part of a department involved in the solutions designed for the future. The solution engineers team focus on demands analysis and study the demand to build a full solution, delivering a cost estimation for the coming years. This evaluation of Cloud/Creation Platform is a base to build business cases and have a GO/NOGO for the investment. You and the team answer customer RFPs / Request for Information and participate in the solution design coordination with stakeholders within the organizations. People from this organization provide transversal analysis and expertise on requirements impacting the platforms. The team objectives are to ensure that the proposed solutions:Answer the demandBuilds a strong collaboration between Engineering, Business Units, and finance to build a solution related to the need, within the financial guardrailsIs in line with the Amadeus platform vision and be compliant with technical choices and future functional evolutionsIs cost efficient (one-off, recurring, manpower, non-manpower)In this role you’ll / Your main responsibilitiesCollect and clarify the requirements from the requester (R&D, Business Units, finance Guardrails)Coordinate the design of the solution in collaboration with architects and/or technical product managers regarding the platform needsAssess the cost of these solutions, evaluating several scenarios, in collaboration with R&D, understanding the way they want to goExpose the solution with the corresponding cost to top management, focusing on specificities, assumptions, and forecastsExplain the cost estimations related to assumptions, and how assumptions have been chosenCommunicate with requester, sometime Amadeus customer or acquired companiesInteract with finance providing budget input, with the platform delivery teams to launch the execution, with Product managers to see what can be done, and possibly influence the platform evolutionPotentially influence the platform evolution backlog in line with the technical product managersAbout the ideal candidateBachelor’s degree in computing engineer Experience in a similar role Strong notions in Architecture, data Stores, network, computing Knowledge in finance, business case Fluent in English with excellent communication skillsWhat we can offerAn extensive range of benefits including: Be part of a multi-cultural team with international scope.
