1. Your position within the company
The Field Service Engineer E is a member of the Service team and reports to the Manager Field Service & Planning EMEA
2. Job objective
To carry out corrective and preventive maintenance worldwide, to commission and trouble-shoot Hitec products and third-party installations. Your main duties involve electrical engineering work on both low and medium voltage installations.
3. Key result areas
3.1 Responsibilities, duties and authority
· You are responsible for independently preparing and carrying out work as part of the service and offering after-sales care in accordance with the procedures, guidelines and (international) standards and instructions in Spain and abroad, under local conditions.
· You provide technical support to customers.
· You independently train operators for end customers.
· You do basic mechanical engineering work where necessary.
· You coordinate and act as a supervisor during the local installation stage prior to the commissioning of a product.
· You can call in the Help Desk if a technical problem arises and the Manager Field Service & Planning if organisational problems arise.
· You are familiar with, and make allowances for, local conditions.
3.2 Communication
· You act as a supervisor, you have the authority to guide customers and engineers with respect to commissioning products and service orders involving electrical work.
· You discuss technical problems and solutions with customers.
· You train operators and hold workshops with them.
· You instruct the local staff.
· You proactively discuss the progress and quality of the work with the Manager Field Service & Planning
Requirements
* Education
· Qualifications in Electrical Engineering from Pre-vocational Secondary Education with an affinity for mechanical engineering
· Secondary education-level professional and intellectual capacity.
· Relevant safety certificates (for example VCA-VOL in The Netherlands)
· Drivers licence
* Required knowledge and experience
· You have an affinity for electrical engineering, the basic principles of electronics, low and medium voltage systems.
· You have ample experience with measuring techniques and working with measuring equipment.
· You can speak, read and write Spanish and English.
· You have teaching experience and skills and can hold workshops.
· You have experience with working with PLC and processor-guided components and diagnostic software.
· You can work with MS office.
