At Vivara, a vibrant and independent startup in Barcelona, we are on the lookout for a Head of Operations to join our incredible team. Backed by GCO, Vivara is all set to transform the rental management industry and bring a wave of confidence and ease to the housing rental game. As a Head of Operations, your role will be instrumental in shaping Vivara's unique ecosystem, dexterously navigating the world of apartment hunting, and making perfect matches between landlords and tenants. With a strong focus on tailoring our approach to individual needs, we are determined to create a delightful rental experience for everyone and become the preferred choice in the premium rental market
You'll define and implement an effective way to filter and match landlords with tenants, as well as a method for managing the maintenance and incidents of the clients. Define the vision and steps to ensure Vivara has the proper operational, administrative, people, and reporting systems in place, enabling effective growth, financial strength, and operational efficiency
Responibilities
- Create and implement the operational structure for the tenant verification and matching processes in our ecosystem
- Develop and orchestrate the network of real estate maintenance and incidence providers for our clients (landlord side), ensuring efficiency in all touchpoints
- Participate in strategy development to increase profitability and economic value and mitigate financial risks
- Provide timely, accurate and complete reports on the operating condition of the company together with actionable steps for improvement
- Spearhead the development, communication and implementation of effective operational strategies
- Provides day-to-day management to a service organization that mirrors the adopted mission and core values of the company
- Build and manage an operational team, striving for data-driven solutions and performance as well as a collaborative and values-focused culture
Requirements
- Experience defining, establishing, and scaling operations and new processes in a fast-growing and agile organization
- Background in Real Estate or PropTech, deep knowledge of the Spanish market and its players
- Experience working with cross-disciplinary teams (e.g Operations, Sales, Product, Finance)
- Experience building or growing operational teams, with a track record in establishing a safe, growth-focused, and diverse company culture
- Ability to streamline companywide internal and external operations, with experience driving organizational change and efficiency
- Experience creating and leading large network of external collaborators - ideally, within the Real Estate ecosystem
- Experience optimizing and automating processes to get them ready for scalability
- Excellent communication skills and ability to deliver complex messages and solutions to internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to monitor and extract insights on operational goals and results, quickly identifying and actioning opportunities of improvement
- Curious, solutions-oriented and keen to questioning the status quo for the business and team benefit
- Excellent written/spoken Spanish and English skills
