AZUL HANDLING, in co-operation with our partner airline RYANAIR , is currently looking for an HR OPS & LEGAL LEAD AGENT on a full-time permanent basis to join our Head Office team in Seville, Spain.

THE ROLE
Reporting to the Senior Management, as HR Operations & Legal Lead Agent, you will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the HR Department, ensuring its efficient operation, and alignment with our business objectives.
Duties & responsibilities (included but not limited to):
- Collaborates with Senior Management to understand and apply the organisation’s goals and strategy across the network.
- Supports Senior and Local Management teams with day-to-day HR issues arising in the operation to ensure homogeneous treatment throughout the network, in accordance with company criteria.
- Oversee Payroll & HR Administration ensuring compliance with the governing collective bargaining agreement, social security and tax regulations, all in accordance with established KPIs and the annual payroll calendar.
- Handles disciplinary matters, conflicts and investigations in accordance with company policy, collaborating with other departments as required.
- Responsible for negotiations with, and compliant periodic and ad hoc communications to, the Employees’ Legal Representatives.
- Monitors and ensures the organisation’s compliance with labour laws, regulations and recommended best practices; reviews and modifies policies and practices to maintain compliance in coordination with Senior Management.
- Plans, leads, develops, coordinates, and implements policies, processes, training, initiatives, and surveys to support the organisation’s human resource compliance and strategy needs.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources and employment law; applies this knowledge to communicate changes in policy, practice, and resources to Senior Management.
- Conducts research and analysis of organisational trends including review of reports and metrics from the organisation.
- Facilitates professional development, training, and certification activities for the HR team.
- Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations.
- Coordinates negotiations with the Employees’ Legal Representatives of the “Training Plans” and “Equality Plans” in collaboration with other departments, as required.
- Manages, oversees and responds to labour inspections to ensure homogenous treatment of criteria throughout the network and correct defence of company criteria.
- Manages, together with the organisation’s lawyers and Senior Management, all labour related conciliations, mediations and labour litigation defence, all in accordance with company criteria.
- Responsible for maintaining all Company mandatory insurance policies are up-to-date, coordinating with finance and other departments where required.
- Ensure compliance with GDPR/LOPD and relevant data protection legislation in all departments
- Oversees the daily workflow of the department.
- Performs other duties as required.
The HR & Legal Lead Agent will plan, lead, direct, develop, and coordinate the policies, activities, and staff of the Human Resource (HR) department, ensuring legal compliance and implementation of the organisation’s mission and talent strategy.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in human resources and/or law; Master’s degree in HR preferred
- At least five years of human resource management experience required
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills
- Thorough knowledge of Spanish employment-related laws and regulations
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to adapt to the needs of the organisation and employees.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills
- Ability to prioritise tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
- Proficient with Microsoft 365 (Office, Word, Excel, OneDrive, etc.)
- Fluent in English will be a plus
- Residence in Seville with flexibility to travel, if it would be necessary
