Summary

We are looking for a passionate and results driven Product Owner to lead the development and execution of our Search & Recommendations product strategy.

The ideal candidate will have solid experience of search or recommendations in a fast-moving business and know where personalization is heading in the coming years. You will have created engaging personalized customer experiences and know how to leverage growth. You will know how to interpret data to make firm recommendations on the future direction of your products to meet our business goals. This role comes with exposure, so having the ability to take people with you at all levels will be required. Needless to say, you are collaborative, able to work effectively with cross-functional teams, business partners, senior leaders and the wider business.

Responsibilities:

• Define the vision for Search & Recommendations at zooplus.
• Create an engaging roadmap to support that vision.
• Work with business partners on an aligned business case and set targets.
• Create engaging user experiences and lead the implementation in the customer experience.
• Prioritize product features and initiatives based on user needs and aligned to the business goals.
• Measure product performance and iterate based on data and insights.
• Make recommendations when to retire features, services and systems based on data outputs.
• Communicate strategies, product plans and updates to stakeholders of all levels.
• Run Search and Recommendation workshops with colleagues across the business to shape the future of these services.

 

What you will need to bring:

• 4 years of experience in product management, with a focus on search or recommendations, preferably in an ecommerce business.
• Solid understanding of search and recommendation technologies.
• A growth mindset with a focus on customer experience experiences to achieve growth.
• Experience of product discovery, A/B testing and making a strong recommendation to the business based on these results.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills at all levels.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a highly collaborative, Agile manner.
• Lots of energy and drive to succeed in this role and be a driving force for change.
