U. - B76Amazon Tax is seeking a highly skilled and proactive Senior Data Analyst to lead and manage complex data analysis in support of financial systems tax audits. This role has option to be based in Dublin or Barcelona. In this role, you will not only oversee the audit process but also play a crucial role in bridging the gap between tax requirements and software engineers who may lack context in tax matters. Your ability to liaise effectively and translate tax audit needs into technical language will be essential for a seamless and collaborative audit experience. Key job responsibilitiesAs Senior Data Analyst you are expected to support Indirect Tax Audits globally and work in support of Audit Readiness. As a member of the GTS-Audit team your responsibilities include:Manage your work- Owning your work stream on live audits- Diving deep to deliver insights, leveraging SQL/Python and financial / domain knowledge- Author requirements, and manage deliverables from partner technology teams- Collate information from multiple stakeholders and domain knowledge experts to deliver unified views of diverse datasets- Utilise project management tools to coordinate and communicate with stakeholdersDevelop scale- Maintain indexed documentation on information collected- Lead product innovation in this space- Author comprehensive end-to-end use case docs ("6-pagers")Build Partnership- Build partnerships with your colleagues who sit in financial and technical organisations. - Drive prioritisation with teams outside TaxAbout the teamGlobal Tax Services (GTS) Audit team is a new and dynamic team serving our internal Tax customers. Our team is highly visible, and provides solutions on time constrained and complex projects. Our team, customers, and mission are all global. We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:Barcelona, B, ESPBASIC QUALIFICATIONS- Knowledge of at least one data-focused technology tool, such as Python, SQL, Alteryx, Amazon QuickSight, or similar- 5+ years of experience as a business analyst, data analyst, or financial analyst within a large corporate environment- Experience working with accounting, tax, or finance team- Experience working with stakeholders to document data and operational processes- Proficient with SQL- Familiarity with different database types and data modelsPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- Experience with complex reporting and coordination with stakeholders- Experience as a technical PM- Proficiency with some of: Python, Excel, Qlik, QuickSight (dashboard tool), or similar- Proficiency with some of: AWS S3, RS, EMR, Lambda, Cloudfront- Familiarity with software engineering or data engineering conceptsAmazon is an equal opportunities employer.
