Job description
As an Account Executive you will:
- Conduct outbound prospecting and lead generation activities to identify and qualify potential customers in the eCommerce industry
- Conduct thorough research on target accounts and industries to understand their pain points and tailor sales messages accordingly
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all prospecting activities and customer interactions in the CRM system
- Continuously improve product knowledge and stay updated on industry trends to effectively articulate Mayan's value proposition to potential customers

- Previous success in a closing role, selling startup tech solutions to mid-market and/or enterprise segments.

Additional skills and qualifications
- Deep business acumen with a keen understanding of market trends, customer needs, and competitive positioning.
- Familiarity with eCommerce, retail media, and/or Amazon ecosystem is a plus.

Qualifications
Must Haves:
- 6+ years working in a successful sales organization
- Strong business intuition and ability to understand metrics and data insights
- Proficiency in working with CRMs (HubSpot or Salesforce)
- Familiarity with e-commerce, specifically Amazon
- Attention to detail in documenting contacts, tracking progress
- Ability to run due diligence in prospecting customers, track prospects, and deliver an honest outlook on likelihood of closing prospects in the sales funnel
- Ability to learn a new industry and sets of products
- Experience with sales tactics such as prospecting, cold-calling, and creating and developing email cadences
- Developed repeatable processes that help close deals
- Excellent communication and organizational skills required
- English skills (ability to effectively communicate via written and spoken English)
Nice to Haves:
- Experience with advertising, inventory, or analytics industry is a plus
- Digital media ad sales experience is a plus
- Strong personal network with potential to reach Amazon sellers
- Experience in a tech startup
- Experience in going to conferences, career fairs, and other networking events where social skills are crucial
