Position Overview
As a Fullstack Engineer, you will be building our consumer-facing APIs and front-end products. You will work closely with our cloud team to design our consumer database models, back-end services, public-facing APIs, authentication methods, and front-end widgets and applications. You will troubleshoot and debug integrations between our applications, as well as assist in the deployment of the full systems to our customers. You should be comfortable learning and contributing quickly to cloud software, architecture, and data model design.
Key Responsibilities:
- Write quality code and tests raising the bar for team performance and speed, build prototypes, resolve issues, and profile and analyze bottlenecks
- Design and develop robust and secure APIs to provide external access to our services
- Contribute to UI/UX design with our product team and develop new front-end functionalities, services, and components
- Connect to our data processing pipelines to integrate battery science and machine learning solutions into our products
- Participate in all aspects of agile software development, including design, implementation, and deployment
- Communicate regularly with stakeholders, project managers, quality assurance teams, and other developers to understand product needs and technology roadmap
- Architect and provide guidance on building end-to-end systems optimized for speed and scale
Qualifications and Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience as a Full-stack Engineer or similar role
- 5+ years of experience in NodeJS/TypeScript/JavaScript
- 3+ years of experience in React or Angular 2+
- 3+ years of experience in designing REST APIs with Express
- Experience in writing highly secure and scalable software applications, including authentication and authorization
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases like MongoDB and Postgres
- Experience in unit, integration, and end-to-end testing
- Growth mindset that challenges the status quo and focuses on outside-the-box ideas and solutions
Nice to haves:
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in computer science
- Experience in Python and FastAPI
- Experience with core AWS services for web
- Experience in leading projects, architecting solutions, extracting requirements from client needs
- Interest in learning new tools, languages, and workflows
