Context and challenges of the position
The supply chain logistics representative will manage orders coming from third party customers or from internal entities, in close contact with the customer services in the regions.
You will secure the availability of the goods, prepare documents needed, compliant with market access regulation. Regarding logistics, you will be responsible for booking the transport (road and sea) by using forwarders contracted by our purchase department.
Our new colleague will be part of a team of similar positions for a different market geography.
Missions of the job
- Review the open order book situation daily
- Coordinate with the scheduler of the plant to guarantee the availability of the goods on due date
- Notify internal customers of any delays when delivery date is impacted
- Coordinate with warehouse operators of the plant that preparation, picking and dispatch of the goods are done on time
- Responsible for document preparation (shipping notice, customs, trade authorization, etc.)
- Create transport orders
- Manage logistics service provider relationship
- Amend dispatch dates as required
- Liaise with haulers to collect and deliver goods to customer specifications
- Report transport lead time and control supplier to ensure service quality
- Collect evidence and participate to the resolution survey when the cause is demonstrated coming from your scope of responsibility
- If something goes wrong, you analyze and find/propose solutions
- You ensure and anticipate supply chain back-up according to absence or peak of activities.
