About The RoleThe role of the Security Architect entails providing crucial support to the Head of Security Architecture in taking ownership and leading the Security Architecture domain. This encompasses long-term vision and planning, operational reviews, control implementation, and design. The Security Architect plays a pivotal role in defining and upholding global security solutions, blueprints, and architectural standards, ensuring their seamless integration in the deployment of new technology services. Key ResponsibilitiesEvaluate existing and proposed solution architectures to identify security design and implementation gaps, proposing necessary changes or enhancements. Translate high-level control objectives into specific technical security requirements. Contribute to the development of an all-encompassing Enterprise-wide Security Architecture framework that spans endpoint, network, on-premise, public cloud, and security event identification and management. Collaborate with the Head of Security Architecture to maintain an updated Security Technology landscape definition, evaluating various technologies and tools from technical, functional, and financial standpoints. Make recommendations to stakeholders for the incorporation of relevant technologies into the Security Program. Develop solution architecture roadmaps in alignment with security standards and policies. Provide support for the design, integration, and initial implementation of security solution architectures. Conduct technical proof of concepts to demonstrate the realization of architectural designs and validate key technical concepts. Foster strong collaboration with other security functions to facilitate the transition of projects into operational status with effective governance. Interface with program managers, project managers, and business units to ensure security architecture engagement is appropriately integrated. Perform ongoing reviews of security technology standards and infrastructure (e. g. , Firewalls, IPS/IDS, Web Security, Email security, etc. ) to ensure compliance with IS standards. Provide security reports to the Group VP IT Security, Risk, and Compliance on non-compliant technologies or infrastructure. About YouYou have over 5 years of security architecture expertise with a comprehensive understanding of multiple security domains. Demonstrated experience in crafting blueprints and directives for Office 365 components and applications. Prior experience in designing a secure tier 0 architecture in a global data centre or a public cloud environment is desired. Hold one or more relevant security certifications in the field (e. g. , TOGAF, CCSP, CISSP, GDSA, MS CCAE, SABSA, CCSK, etc. ). An MSc in IT or IT Security is preferred. Capable of evaluating information, identifying key issues, and drawing conclusions based on sound judgment, practical experience, and common sense.
