The Deployment Services Project Manager will be responsible for the implementation and deployment of all infrastructure related requirements for NTT customers within the region in which they are located. Standard suite of services implemented include IT and data center related infrastructure from small, medium and enterprise client base. This position is accountable for the planning and managing of such requirements independently, while defining project timelines, and performing quality assurance on the installation and de-installation activities for internal and external customers. The Deployment Services Project Manager is accountable for delivering critical facility documentation at closeout of each project, as well as status reporting and maintenance of as-built specifications to meet Deployment Services records retention standards. Working at NTTESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESLead all aspects of client facing infrastructure projects from pre-implementation to post-implementationIdentify construction issues, concerns, and defects, perform analysis, and present proposed solutions to manager; communicate information to client and project stakeholders. Review drawings and documentation submitted by contractors meet required specifications. Identify and perform ad-hoc analysis, as needed to support decisions and project delivery. Ensure product quality, manufacturing, and serviceability meets installation standards. Gathers customer requirements and specificationsDevelops project plans and provides Basis of Design, supporting drawings and other associated documentationProvides ongoing project management for infrastructure projects throughout the life of the customer contractImplements contracted services on time, within budget and according to specificationsRecommends appropriate process and procedure revisions as needed to focus on continuous improvementSchedules and facilitates weekly project status meetings with clients, vendors, and internal project teamWorks with Deployment Services contractors and internal teams to coordinate and report on the implementation of projectsWorks with Deployment Services contractors and internal teams to coordinate and report on quality assurance testingDetermines scope, milestones, tasks, risks, assumptions, objectives, and dependencies relating to projectsUses Microsoft Project and SharePoint to document, schedule, track, and report on the various projectsUses Salesforce to track revenue milestonesDocuments, publishes, and tracks action items, owners, and due datesInterfaces with customers, vendors, and internal departments as necessaryCoordinates, places and tracks equipment orders and shipments to meet project deadlinesEscalates team and client issues as appropriateDevelops and maintains various client account documentationWorks with the technical staff to ensure test plans have been completedPrepares status reports to keep management, clients, and project team informed of project status and related issuesCoordinates and responds to requests for changes from original specificationsTracks and reports on quality assurance metricsAdheres to pre-defined departmental objectives and metrics to provide high level of customer serviceSupports strategic departmental objectivesResponsible for safety adherence and reportingPerforms other tasks as assignedKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIESStrong proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)Working knowledge with drawing packages such as Visio and / or AutoCADWorking knowledge of Windows, Salesforce, and SharePointKnowledge of IT and data center infrastructureKnowledge of SSAE 16 and other industry certifications a plusPossess excellent problem solving, critical thinking and interpersonal skillsPossess excellent verbal and written communication skillsPossess excellent customer service skillsHighly motivated self-starterAbility to multi-task and remain calm in dynamic environment. Must have a minimum of 7 years of relevant work experience that includes 2 years of experience within the data center co-location industry is required. Project management certification is preferred. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSDexterity of hands and fingers to operate any required computer keyboard, mouse, and other technical instruments. This position requires the ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 20 pounds. WORK CONDITIONSData Center and typical office environment with daily usage of a computer and / or workstation keyboards and terminals. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTSPeriodic travel to other locations, customer, or vendor sites. Must be able to respond to emergency situations at the data centerResponsible to carry a cell phone and provide 24 x 7 support as neededMust be willing to work outside normal business hours, including weekends, late nights, holidaysThis position requires work to be done onsite at a data center facility and may require use of a personal mobile device. A monthly stipend will be provided to cover expenses incurred for using a personal device, if applicable.
