About the Role

The role of UX Design Lead is responsible for delivering Design thinking and UX/UI Services for Novartis. Develop application branding and philosophy. Establish user center design and human interaction. Delivery of solutions with association of all new specialised technologies (e.g. advanced analytics, AI/ML).

In this role, you will coordinate teams across projects across functions and divisions. Work across all level of organizations including ECN-3. Conceptualize, develop and oversee complex E2E service and solution designs and implementation. Define roadmaps, x-divisional solutions. This role is crucial to Digital transformation. Role is of high complexity with additional user groups and business capabilities, broaden breadth.

UX Design Lead is responsible to lead Design thinking workshops and implement methodologies throughout Data Analytics Functions. Role will be contributing and implementing UX/UI subject area, design systems, and UI methodologies across our teams and for OneDigital at Novartis.

This role will be responsible in developing digital application with data driven strategy, establish user center design and reusable assets and interaction that follow UX best practice.

Understands our functional business requirements and is responsible for understanding and how to implement Design Thinking five major steps to all programs e.g. Empathize, Define, Tasks and deliverables for each step are: Research, User interviews, Stakeholder interviews, sitemaps, personas, user flows, usability testing, journey maps, wireframes, mockups and prototypes, and high fidelity mock ups for hand off to development.

Role Requirements

• Experience building, implementing, maintaining, and governing design systems and guidelines
• Develop and perform Design Thinking workshops
• Mentor and lead junior and mid-level designers
• Drive and facilitate planning process to provide focus and alignment on programs
• Collaborate with leadership and execution teams to help define the overall platform design and delivery
• Advocate and always have the point of view of the customer
• Implement best practice of User Experience in all applications
• Enhancing customer satisfaction and loyalty by improving the usability, engagement, ease of use, and delight provided in the interaction between our customers and digital platforms.
• Collect, refine, and evaluate user requirements in partnership with product managers and engineers/development team
• Design workflows/sitemaps, wireframes, interfaces, design mockups, and interactions for a global audience across platforms (web, mobile, and desktop)
• Clearly and concisely articulate design principles, prototypes, and presentations to influence stakeholders and peers
• Champion the design thinking process, demonstrating empathy to understand how they will interact with project.
• Explore, advance, and provide ground breaking solutions to meet internal and external goals and objectives
• Ability to build interactive experiences with prototyping software
• Experience in designing large-scale systems and application
• Highly organized with strong written skills, influencing skills, and outstanding attention to detail
• Strong capacity for leading change, dealing with ambiguity, and proactively recommending creative solutions versus waiting for direction from others
• Lead agile front-end development team with goal to improve websites merchandising and clearly communicate marketing messages
• Bachelor's degree in UX design, interaction design, or equivalent experience
• Able to work in a fast-paced and evolving environment
• Portfolio required to apply

Additional responsibilities:
• Gather and evaluate user requirements in collaboration with business collaborators by function
• Prepare and present high-level presentation to internal teams and key partners
• Identify and address UX problems
• Provide input to project proposals and actively engage with business and technical partners
• Be ultimately accountable for the full lifecycle of the design
• Have in-depth technical knowledge to ensure efficient design
• Good communication skills, including the ability to communicate between technical and non-technical contributors, and between project teams and senior leadership
• Implementation and delivery of new and/or enhanced business value adding IT solutions
• Delivery of expected business value, within budget, time and quality
• Continuous collaborator alignment and satisfaction.
