Climate Farmers is a growing organisation that’s building the infrastructure for scaling regenerative agriculture in Europe. We achieve this through the development of transition finance instruments, a thriving farmer-led community, and supply-chain transition support.
As a Business Developer, you will be an important contributor to the growth of our solution services aiming at accelerating the transition to regenerative agriculture in Europe. You will be responsible for the acquisition of new farmers for our pioneering carbon credit program in Spain. This role blends hands-on sales, project management, analytics, and a passion for regenerative agriculture to promote best practices suited to the context and combat climate change.
Farmer Acquisition:
Deploy and develop our direct solution sales approach to qualify, engage, and onboard farmers into our carbon credit program.
Conduct market research and analysis to identify attractive leads, taking into account the target customer segment.
Collaborate and align closely with the sales, marketing and the farmer success teams.
Project Management:
End-to-end project management of experiments with the aim to test and scale different sales channels (e.g. trade-shows, events, associations)
Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth communication and collaboration.
Relationship Building:
Build and nurture strong relationships with farmers, agricultural associations, and other relevant stakeholder groups.
Establish new relationships through outreach activities to create awareness about the benefits of regenerative agriculture and our carbon credit program, including workshops, webinars, and one-on-one interactions with farmers and food companies.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
Contribute to and utilise analytics to assess channel effectiveness, provide regular insights to internal stakeholders, and identify trends and opportunities for program improvement and expansion.
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Agriculture, or a related field.
Proven experience in business development or sales and project management. Experience in solution sales and in the agrifood sector are a valuable plus.
Familiarity with the techniques adopted in regenerative agriculture and carbon credit programs is highly desirable.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Native Spanish and proficient English speaking level
Another European language, such as Italian, Portuguese or German, is a plus

Becoming an integral part of an innovative start-up where you can play a central role in shaping its success and making a tangible impact.
Enjoying exquisite team retreats, with four gatherings held annually.
Being part of a close-knit team comprising experts from diverse disciplines, fostering a collaborative and dynamic work environment.
Flexible work arrangements with the possibility of full or partial remote work.
Access to an extensive network of decision-makers and influencers from a range of industries
