SCIB Models&Data is looking for a Senior Risk Modeling Analyst, based in our Boadilla del Monte office.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
As a Senior Risk Modeling Analyst , you will develop risk measurement, capital, and forecasting models for Santander’s Corporate and Investment Banking businesses.
We need someone like you to help us in different fronts:
- Support the development and maintenance of Credit Risk capital and forecasting models for Santander’s CIB portfolios (Large Corporates, Project Finance, Banks, Insurance Companies, etc)
- Work with other teams within risk and business to develop modeling solutions and ad-hoc analyses to drive new initiatives, improve business processes and deliver value using data/model driven decisions
- Design, develop and maintain code used for data engineering and data science tasks in order to prepare, manipulate and analyze large internal and external datasets using (mainly) Python, SQL, R or SAS
- Assist in preparing materials for presentations, documents or business cases to senior management, internal stakeholders, and regulatory bodies as needed
EXPERIENCE
- At least 5 years experience in Credit Risk Model development or related role
EDUCATION
- Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Engineering, Physics, or another highly quantitative field with a track record of academic excellence
- MSc in Finance or quantitative subject desirable
SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
- Proficiency in programming languages: Python (mandatory) and R, SQL or SAS; and a high level of familiarity with Microsoft Office tools.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to effectively convey findings and insights in a clear and concise manner to audiences with varying technical backgrounds.
