Mission
The Senior Technology Consultant drives innovative and scalable solutions to bring value to both business and Informatics, as well as covering the solution’s lifecycle management to suit respective markets.
What you’ll be working on / Your key responsibilities
As a Senior Technology Consultant, your role is to work in partnership with clients, advising them on how to use Roche Informatics Platforms in order to meet their business objectives or solution needs. This will include:
Understanding and eliciting the business and solution use cases, their context, and objectives.
Influencing and challenging business needs and requirements with stakeholders of all levels, prioritizing demand based on Informatics strategic direction and business value.
Utilizing expertise and leveraging shared Enterprise knowledge on how to solve the problem with new, existing, or emerging technology and/or process improvement.
Improve the structure and efficiency of IT platforms and solutions across Informatics and the wider organization.
You'll provide strategic guidance to clients about technology and IT infrastructure and will enable major business processes through enhancements to IT. You may be called upon to provide guidance and technical expertise during other processes as well, such as selection and procurement, user training, and feedback.
You will collaborate with IT Product Managers, Stakeholders, Product Owners, and Development Teams (Tester, Developers, Architects, Adoption Services, Vendors, etc.).
You will serve as an expert in one or more functional areas for Domains and other Chapters.
You will display an advanced level of skills and capabilities in the area of business partnering and/or product management.
You will frequently take on the additional roles of Product Owner / Product Lead where appropriate
A Senior Technology Consultant explores opportunities and initiatives to:
Improve and optimize process/solution-specific best practices and actively lead promotion to other functional areas.
Demonstrate a growth mindset by developing their own skills and capabilities.
You will develop and maintain business cases including high-level solution options, resource estimates, and resource confirmation in support of the strategic backlog management process.
You will act as an interface between Business and IT functions and as a contact point for business leads in order to launch initiatives, leading and driving the scoping phase.
You will collaborate with IT Product Managers and/or Business Partners in business development activities like translating business strategy into technology-enabled strategies, feasibility studies, and clarifying available technology on the market.
You will strive for global harmonization of business processes and solutions across sites and departments by propagating common standardized data models, applications, and technologies that are in line with the cross-functional or functional Informatics strategies and architectures.

Demonstrates an executive presence, strong business acumen, and ability to navigate ambiguity, and manage complexity.
Team player with the ability to think independently and consider cross-functional and downstream impacts
Has a keen IT market focus: you are passionate about major trends for the specific discipline.
Manages risks progressively and in a way that leads to opportunity.
Your qualifications and experience :
5-7 years (Bachelor) or 4-6 years (Master) or equivalent work experience.
7+ years of Cloud or Infrastructure IT consultancy experience.
Nice to have: 5+ years in life sciences/pharma or assigned business function being supported.
Cloud-specific certification from a recognized body
Is certified in at least one Agile framework/methodology (e.g., SAFe or Scrum).
