About RP Global
A privately-owned company with strong local teams on the ground in all its core Western and Eastern European markets: RP Global is a large-scale developer with 35+ years of experience in the renewable energy sector. As a developer, operator and investor, the company focuses on solar PV, wind, hydro and storage. RP Global is developing a pipeline of >15 GW(p). The company’s headquarters are in Vienna, Austria and Madrid, Spain.
Reporting to the Project Director, Italy.
The new Project Development Manager will be responsible for developing utility-scale agro-PV projects in Italy.
Your responsibilities :
- Undertake and coordinate all necessary activities for the successful development of solar projects to get all required permits for the project implementation;
- Support the Country Manager/Project Directors with the planning and monitoring activities related to each project by keeping track of all major tasks to be managed during the development phase;
- Lead and manage relations with third parties and co-developers and make sure that agro-PV projects are continuously developed in line with RP Global technical/economic standards; be compliant with the main terms and conditions of the Development Service Agreement;
- Support the Country Manager/Project Director in the negotiation of preliminary land agreements (such as Land Lease Agreements and/or Purchase Agreements) and make sure that contracts are always in line with RP Global criteria;
- Draft and assess preliminary layouts (also proposed by co-developers) and offer technical solutions to maximize the development of the plant/optimization of project layout (especially applying agro-PV project national guidelines);
- Critically assess technical documentation prepared by co-developers to deliver high-quality outputs (documentation always in line with BAT and international/national technical frameworks);
- Develop and maintain excellent relations with local stakeholders, including landowners and local partners (e.g., co-developers, engineering firms, agronomists, etc.);
- Proactively support the discovery of new opportunities by identifying and securing the land plots needed for the implementation of agro-PV projects;
- Secure the most economical MV/HV grid connection and manage the application procedure for obtaining grid capacity with local DNO/TSO, also collaborating with co-developers/engineering firms;
- Lead and coordinate the design process of the MV/HV substation needed to energize the projects, also participate in the so-called “Tavolo tecnico” with the TSO;
- Report periodically to the Project Director, Solar PV, and the whole Holding team (at request) in accordance with the company policy;
- Apply the RP Global quality control procedures, focusing strongly on H&S policy.
Our requirements :
- Engineering degree (Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Energy Engineering preferred);
- Advanced knowledge of technical guidelines applied to PV projects in Italy (e.g., Linee Guida per Agrivoltaico);
- 5+ years of professional experience in solar-PV projects preferred;
- 5+ years of experience as a Development Project Manager in renewable energy, specifically solar-PV projects;
- High communication and negotiation skills;
- Knowledge of the English language, both written and spoken.
