Job description
As a Portfolio Analyst you will play a crucial role in our organisation’s project management and strategic planning processes. You will be responsible for analysing and managing the project portfolio, providing insights into project performance, and assisting in decision-making to optimise resource allocation and project success. You will possess a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record in project portfolio management.

This role is based remotely in Spain, where you will work directly with Project Managers across IBAM and Spain primarily, with some support to our larger programs in other geographies. This role requires a high degree of proficiency in both Spanish and English and we would invite you to submit your application in English.
Provide support to the IBAM Project Managers by ensuring the success of individual projects and optimizing the overall project portfolio
Drive good quality valuable data which ensures accurate cost management, billing to our customers and overall profitability
Fully immerse yourself into the processes, framework and day to day running of the PMO, in order to analyse and subsequently suggest improvements that ultimately ensure high quality, efficient and consistent delivery to our customers
Project Portfolio Analysis:
Evaluate the overall project portfolio to ensure alignment with organisational goals and objectives
Conduct risk assessments, identify bottlenecks, and recommend solutions to enhance project delivery efficiency
Data Collection and Reporting
Gather and maintain accurate and up-to-date project data, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocations
Generate regular reports and dashboards to communicate project status, key performance indicators, and portfolio health to stakeholders
Resource Allocation and Optimisation
Collaborate with project managers to understand resource needs and constraints
Assist in optimising resource allocation to maximise project outcomes and minimise bottlenecks
Financial Analysis
Monitor project budgets and financial performance, providing insights to enhance cost-effectiveness and ROI
Collaborate with finance teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and forecasting
Risk Management
Identify potential risks and issues within the project portfolio and develop mitigation strategies
Implement risk assessment frameworks and work with project teams to proactively address challenges
Strategic Planning
Contribute to the development and execution of the organisation’s strategic goals through informed project portfolio management
Provide recommendations for portfolio adjustments to align with changing business priorities
Stakeholder Communication
Foster effective communication and collaboration with project teams, executives, and other stakeholders
Present findings and recommendations in a clear and concise manner to both technical and non-technical audiences
