Women’s Groups and Engagement Coordinator

Job Description:

This position will be the second full time ministry staff person under the supervision of the Women’s Ministry Director.

Department Purpose: Our goal is to engage women of Hope Church of every age and ethnicity to experience Jesus through community and service to become empowered and joyful Jesus-Followers (discipleship) and Jesus-Takers (evangelism).

Department General Description :

Women of Hope offers Bible studies, Moms groups, service opportunities, and events for women to grow in their knowledge of God, deepen Christian relationships, and to mobilize as His representatives wherever He has placed them. We seek to develop intentional programming and organic relationships that enable the Women of Hope to flourish as God’s daughters and as His ministers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities of this role:

Spiritual Responsibilities:

• Select appropriate curriculum for Women’s Bible studies and Moms’ Groups to help women grow in their relationship with Jesus
• Help Women of Hope Director identify, disciple, train, and catalyze female leaders
• Plan, implement, and maintain an online ministry strategy

Logistical Responsibilities:

• Directly responsible for planning, executing, and maintaining all logistics for Bible Studies, summer Gathering events, and Moms Groups
• Manage expenses for discipleship and outreach aspects of WoH programming
• Establish and maintain a social media communication calendar
• Manage weekend worship responsibilities for Women of Hope when needed

Position Qualifications:

Skills and experience requirements:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• A Jesus-Follower willing to grow in ‘grace and knowledge’
• 3-5 years of church experience as volunteer or staff with pastoral reference
• Some theological training is strongly preferred; students in seminary are encouraged to apply
