We are currently seeking a Technical Support Engineer to join our team in Barcelona. Reporting to the Support Manager and part of the engineering organization, the Support team is an essential part of our service delivery organization.

You will directly handle customer issues, manage technical escalations, and ensure our customers have an outstanding experience with our products.

Essential Functions

Resolve issues encountered by our customers via our ticketing system

Provide guidance on configuring and working with StreamSets products

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to escalate and resolve complex technical issues

Verify product fixes and advocate for improvements

Participate in an on-call rotation of 8 hours per day, Monday to Sunday, on a rotating basis with the team every 8 weeks

Minimum Requirements

A BS / BA degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience

1-3 years of Technical Support or Support Engineering experience in an enterprise software company

Experience in network troubleshooting in Linux environments

Knowledge of networking concepts (TCP / IP, DNS)

Experience with containers (Docker, Kubernetes).

Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice to Haves

Programming / scripting with Java, Python, or Unix Shell scripts

Practical implementation experience with authentication / authorization protocols

Knowledge of relational databases such as Oracle, MariaDB, and PostgreSQL.

Familiarity with NoSQL databases, particularly MongoDB.

Experience with Databricks and / or Snowflake.

Familiarity with Hadoop core, HBase, HIVE.

Knowledge of CDP, CDH, HDP.

Experience with Kafka, MQs.

Familiarity with Apache Spark.

Experience with major cloud platforms (Azure, GCP, AWS).
