As we gear up for the next era of wind turbines, we're seeking a visionary Structural lead to join our Nacelle Back End Analysis Team. This pivotal role offers the chance to contribute to cutting-edge innovation and redefine the possibilities of renewable energy.
Your Impact:
As a key player in our team, you'll be instrumental in crafting the Nacelle Back Ends for our state-of-the-art wind turbines. These turbines are not only larger and more powerful but come with exciting challenges that demand innovative solutions. Your profound expertise, with a minimum of 8 years in structural engineering, will be crucial to ensuring the structural integrity and reliability of our predominantly steel and cast iron structures under extreme and fatigue conditions.
Responsibilities:
- Lead static and dynamic evaluations and investigations, providing valuable insights for field and prototype testing.
- Collaborate with a high-performance team to implement updates to design guidelines and internal tools, ensuring our continuous innovation.
- Perform advanced structural calculations for certification packages, actively contributing to writing and delivering final certification documents.
- Drive optimization of existing designs, tools, and overall approaches, leveraging your creativity to uphold our position as industry pioneers.
- Mentor and lead a team, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
Qualifications:
To make a difference in this role, you should possess:
- M.Sc. in Mechanical or Civil Engineering with a minimum of 8 years of structural engineering experience.
- Proficiency in Ansys, APDL, Python, and Matlab, coupled with familiarity with Eurocode and common guidelines and standards.
- Experience in measurements, validation, and vibration is advantageous but not mandatory.
- A thorough and structured mindset, coupled with the ability to think innovatively to overcome challenges.
- Proactive self-starter with a strong sense of ownership and perseverance in achieving goals.
- Thrive in a cross-functional, international setting, understanding the nuances of team dynamics.
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
