Job Summary
The Corporate Communications Specialist supports the organization and delivery of internal communications within Hyperion Materials and Technologies and brand-specific corporate messages to external markets & stakeholders. This person will collaborate with partners in human resources, IT, EH&S, marketing and our various business unit teams to align on messaging and create clear, concise and effective messaging to build brand equity, inform the market and drive employee engagement. The Corporate Communications Specialist is responsible for: 1.) Managing content going into the global Hyperion internal communication channels (email, Sharepoint) , 2.) Developing effective media communication materials for external communications (e.g. Press Releases, web pages) to communicate critical brand messages to the market .
Specific responsibilities
- Manages the corporate communications strategy and calendar, including internal communications.
- Works with key business stakeholders to define and execute quick responses to urgent (including crisis communications) as well as strategic topics, both internally and externally.
- Develops global communications for financial/investment related needs.
- Leads the development of internal communication templates that can be used across the business, including guidelines for written content, digital content and presented content.
- Manages the addition of news articles to the company’s corporate intranet for the purpose of informing internal stakeholders about corporate news and events.
- Helps review and enhance internal and select external communication tools for concise messaging and to ensure visual appeal.
- Managers messaging related to the corporate sustainability program.
- Supports the corporate HR function with internal messaging per their requirements
Required qualifications
- BS/MS Degree in Audiovisual Communication, Marketing, or similar.
- 1-3 years working in a marketing communication or corporate communications roles
- Strong command of the English language is essential (Pofricency or equivalent)
- Track record of success developing concise marketing communications.
- Use of SharePoint is preferred.
- Self-starter, highly motivated with excellent business-wide communication skills.
- Proficient computer skills. Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience collaborating with various stakeholders in a global environment a plus with the ability to counsel and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Physical qualifications
- PC/desk work including reading/typing. Ability to work flexible schedules/extended hours on occasion to collaborate with partners in Europe and Asia. Occasional travel to visit customers or consultants.
- Travel is rarely required.
