About the opportunity
We are looking for an experienced Anti-Financial Crime Analyst to join our AML/CTF Technical Unit in Spain. Our target in anti financial crime is to lead and shape the industry by creating a culture of compliance within N26 that authorities, customers and stakeholders can trust. This role is crucial to achieve this goal.
In this role, you will:
- Review and improve the analysis/investigation escalated by the Investigators, ensuring quality.
- Conduct complex investigations when financial crime risks are identified.
- Support in the responses to authorities in their relevant channels/tools of reporting.
- Drafting of Requirements and Suspicious Activity Reports to SEPBLAC and the corresponding authorities.
- Enhancing the analysis and reporting of suspicious activities and expanding the processes in the internal guidelines and across the team.
- Ensuring quality and suggesting better ways of working when difficulties are identified and /or for gaining efficiency, including setting up of the tools used for the analysis and investigations.
- Identify new financial crime patterns for potential improvements of processes and rules in the alerts/transaction monitoring systems.
- Support the MLRO in gathering information and metrics needed to meet Management information needs and periodical regulatory reporting.
What you need to be successful:
Background:
- Min. 3 year with relevant banking/financial institutions/consultant experience in fields related to Anti Financial Crime (money laundering, terrorist financing, fraud, tax evasion, sanctions).
- In-depth knowledge of the European and Spanish AML/CTF regulation. Experience dealing with Spanish AML authorities will be a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree (ideally in law, business or finance) preferred, but not essential.
- Business proficiency in English and Spanish (spoken and written)
- Advance use of MS Office (G suite) skills for Excel and Word.
- Deliver with quality and keep confidentiality.
- Maintain an analytical mindset, willingness of thinking out of the box and appetite for learning.
