BNP Paribas EMEA Finance employs 500 employees, of which more than 325 are based in Madrid. We manage more than 250 BNP Paribas entities from all over Europe, covering +60% of Group’s balance sheet and all group’s banking activities (Corporate & Investment Banking, Retail Banking, Personal Finance and other financial services activities…).
Our mission is to measure, control and explain all the financial indicators required to monitor accounting, tax, regulatory, liquidity, credit risk reporting and management result activities.
FRESH is a unique organization within the BNP PARIBAS IT Group. FRESH is responsible for the alignment of IT programs with the strategy and objectives of Finance and Risk.
With more than 200 team members located in Madrid and Lisbon, the FRESH EMEA hub operates as a platform providing resources and expertise to deliver on tasks and projects in all areas of Finance and supporting also Risk Function. This landscape is constantly growing due to major regulatory reforms, including the implementation of ESG commitments, digital transformation with the accelerated switch towards cloud technologies and major global projects that will shape the transformation of BNP Paribas.
MISSION
To lead the implementation of the Finance and Risk strategic IT plans. We guarantee the execution of technological roadmaps and contingency plans, as well as the alignment and delivery of all solutions and services to meet IT Finance and Risk performance criteria and internal service levels.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Scope
- Analysis and project management within the critical global Fresh Exchange Layer system
- Project manager with responsibilities for full development lifecycle, from feasibility study through to delivery
- Business analyst: applying subject matter expertise to turn complex business requirements into functional specifications
Project Manager
- Collaborating with Operational and Finance teams globally on critical global finance systems and interface aspects of new initiatives including consultancy, conducting feasibility studies, preparation of proposals and planning / resource estimates
- Deliver small scale projects, and Exchange Layer component of major projects:
- Act as EL SPOC for projects assigned, liaising with other organizational and technical teams in the operational and financial areas
- Management of project lifecycle
- Plan, track and report progress of projects
- Prioritize/accelerate and secure timely delivery of project tasks
Business Analyst
- Analysis of user requirements & business processes, and identification of key risks and issues
- Preparation of detailed functional specifications for delivery to IT developers
- Liaison with IT developers and business areas to resolve outstanding risks and issues
- Preparation and/or contribution to detailed testing and conversion/migration plans
- Conducting and coordinating system and user acceptance testing
- Managing migration/implementation and close tasks
Team processes
- Establish relationships and collaborate with individuals across the business to achieve business results
- High collaboration and communication within the Exchange Layer team, based in Madrid, London & India
- Production support - Provide ad-hoc 3rd line support for the Exchange Layer from a functional perspective on any assigned tickets
- Maintenance & Enhancements – undertake M&E activities for the current catalogue of feed processes as required
- Apply group, departmental and application standards and procedures to all aspects of project delivery. Apply expertise to recommend improvements to systems and processes
REQUIREMENTS
Experience
- 4-8 years of Professional experience in the business analysis and project management area
- Strong track record in providing detailed analysis at an operational level
- Clear understanding and experience of managing projects, in particular liaising with project stakeholders, communication and project reporting
- The ability to both manage a project and provide detailed analysis at a hands-on level
- Strong systems skills and a good understanding of IT (systems and databases), although technical ability not required
