Job description

Are you passionate about analytics and AI architecture? We have an excellent opportunity for you! As a Lead Solution Architect in the R&D IT Data, Analytics and AI Architecture team, you will be critical to shape and deliver our AI and analytics strategy. You will define innovative solutions for R&D and partner with scientists on challenging problems in drug discovery where computational approaches will make a difference. Accountabilities:

You will partner closely with data sciences teams in R&D to deeply understand their business and technical needs. You will design solutions that demonstrate innovation, best practices, technical rigour and operationalisation of designs that R&D can rely on. You will create architectures that introduce and support end-to-end MLOps including new capabilities for features management, model management, ethics in AI. You will propose new solutions to accelerate model training and inference for large, complex data and models in production with appropriate governance and compliance, partnering closely with platform teams such as high performance computing and data sciences platforms to influence and review their infrastructure requirements for computational workload, build reference architectures and establish patterns. You will also be accountable for the evaluation of analytics software and selection, buy-vs-build decisions, and early phase project estimates for projects.

This role sits at the intersection of many teams including Data Scientists, R&D Scientists, Data Engineering, ML Ops, and Data Sciences Platform. Therefore, you will have excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate design choices to wide audience.
