About this role:
We are seeking an associate with strong logical reasoning and quantitative, process, and communication skills to join the Content and Research Excellence (CRE) organization within Gartner’s Research and Advisory (R&A) business unit. This role will help manage Gartner’s metadata used to power the creation of our research content and its delivery to our client website. Additionally, the Project Manager will collaborate across different organizations within R&A to use metadata to support content planning, data analysis, and newsletters to grow client engagement and retention.
What you will do:
Learn how to translate business requirements for products into rule-based algorithms that can be leveraged by systems to automatically apply the metadata
Develop deep understanding of the existing metadata structure and guide future evolution based on product changes
Maintain metadata and ensure its properly being used within systems and troubleshoot issues as required
Educate and solicit feedback from stakeholders on the correct tagging of content and support new content leader onboarding
Document decisions and implementation plans for content entitlements and provide periodic governance of their application
What you’ll need:
At least 2-3 years of work experience (or an advanced degree) using metadata or controlled vocabularies to support internal or client facing systems like websites, email campaigns or internal knowledge management systems
Bachelor’s degree in Information Science, IT/Databases, Marketing, or other relevant field
Excellent logic and project management skills and ability to effectively solicit feedback to implement changes
Native-level verbal and written communication in English
High data literacy, with curiosity for data science
Advanced Excel skills
