LOF Xpress™ Oil Change is seeking a Sales Host to join our dedicated and fast-paced team in Ames. As a Sales Host, you will work in a dynamic and exciting environment, interacting with customers and other team members on a daily basis. LOF Xpress™ Oil Change is not just another quick-lube: we strive to provide a new quick-lube experience. Our entire process is automated, ensuring that our customers are receiving the best oil change service available. With our three-point Xpress Oil Change drive-thru service and the LOF PLUS Full Service Oil Change, we are changing oil changes and providing our customers with unparalleled ease and convenience.

Responsibilities

At LOF Xpress our Sales Host is a vital part of our operations and brand. The Sales Host is the first impression our customers have as they drive up to our location. The core responsibility of this position is explaining and selling our services to our customer. Our goal is not to upsell but rather to right-size our sales to ensure each customer visiting our location drives away knowing their vehicle was serviced optimally, based on LOF and manufacturer recommendations. The ideal candidate for this position will be a strong, friendly, and dynamic communicator who is able to follow a script while connecting and tailoring their message appropriately based on customer cues. The Sales Host also must learn and have a high-level of understanding of the products and services we offer. A passion for automobiles is a huge plus in this position as is the willingness to assist on vehicle services, adding value by assisting in the bay when between customers at the Sales Host station.

Candidates must:

∙ Interact positively with a diverse range of clientele and business associates.

∙ Deliver a consistent, yet individualized message to each customer while meeting service and sales goals.

∙ Act in a dynamic, friendly, and outgoing manner.

∙ Possess strong communication skills including via phone and intercom systems as well as face-to-face oral communication.

∙ Create a welcoming experience for each customer by greeting each individual at the kiosk or window.

∙ Work at a fast pace to meet speed expectations for LOF Xpress Services.

∙ Be willing to cross train and work in other areas as needed.

∙ Maintain the facilities by assisting clean‐up tasks between assigned vehicles and at the end of shifts.

∙ Dress professionally, according to LOF Xpress policy and standards.

∙ Become knowledgeable on LOF Xpress technology and be able to execute tasks using such technology.

∙ Able to operate the point‐of‐sale system when needed.

∙ Work a varied work schedule based on customer demand and store hours.

∙ Complete tasks independently and with little supervision

∙ Report to all shifts on time when scheduled.

• Preferred experience includes sales positions in retail sales, automotive sales and service, or a general sales position. Past experience as a service or sales advisor in an automotive capacity would be ideal.

• Familiarity and comfort with technology
• Education -- High school diploma required.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

• Extended periods of time standing on hard surfaces, such as concrete floors
• Exposure to loud noises and fumes
• Exposure to outdoor conditions such as heat, cold, rain, and snow
• Frequent need to push, pull, climb (stairs, step stools, ladders), bend at the knees and waist, twist at the waist, turn head-neck-shoulders; raise and hold arms overhead, grasp and hold tools and other items with your hands
• Ability to lift and move work-related items up to 50 pounds

Compensation

• $16 - $18 / hour based on relevant experience in the automotive industry
