This role is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the Local Original Productions (LOP) team in Iberia as the main support to the VP of LOP, ensuring that MAX has the strongest possible slate to drive customer acquisition, engagement and retention. You will source and track projects, evaluate and recommend targets, negotiate and close them. You will leverage your relationships with the local creative, talent and production community, local broadcasters and distributors, and local distributors (both independent and local offices of international companies), and will work closely with internal colleagues both nationally and internationally, including other parts of the Content Team, Head of programming, Content Strategy and Analysis, Finance, Legal, PR, Marketing, etc. Setting and executing the content supply strategy in-market in support to VP of LOP. Identifying best possible content opportunities, across all windowing models, to meet local editorial objectives. Evaluating projects at all stages of development and production, working closely with suppliers to ensure the right editorial direction for MAX on projects at their earliest stages. Overseeing and coordinating the activity of the content and production team. Ensuring best-in-class regional supplier relationships. Leading negotiations for all local suppliers. Coordinating and overseeing budget reviews on a regular (monthly, quarterly, annual, long range) basis to ensure regional spend is optimized. Co-ordinating the regional drafting process, ensuring that the commercial, finance and legal teams can finalise agreements with all the required context and information and at speed. Qualifications & Experience…Proven experience in content development, management and production. First rate contacts, first rate tastes. Strong relationship in the market, and able to evaluate content with sophisticated analysis and an in-depth understanding of what drives stand-out content for the targeted audience. Experience in developing projects at their earliest stages, to meet the needs of their target audience. Command of market and competition analysis, able to strategically assess opportunities and make data driven decisions. Growth mindset, continually looking to learn and challenge assumptions and capable of thriving in a fast-paced and changing environment.
