Become the Environmental Fate Risk Assessment Expert who will help us navigate the European market and contribute to our long-term success in shaping the future of sustainable food production.

Your Responsibilities:

• Provide expert scientific and senior advice on the environmental fate and risk assessment of active substances and plant protection products.
• Prepare draft registration reports (sections B8 and B10) specifically focused on environmental fate risk assessment, adhering to relevant regulations, guidelines, and requirements.
• Conduct data gap analyses, perform preliminary environmental fate risk assessments, and strategically advise on study setup, data generation, and necessary research for active substances and plant protection products.
• Participate actively in the development and coordination of registration documentation for plant protection products, and contribute to the overall registration process.
• Evaluate authority requests and comments, leveraging your knowledge and research expertise.
• Analyse laboratory and field studies focused on substance behaviour, including derivation of half-lives from kinetic degradation studies.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members.
• Manage projects effectively.

Qualifications:

• Advanced degree in environmental engineering, biology, or a related field.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in environmental fate risk assessment within the regulatory context of active substances and plant protection products.
• A strong track record of contributing to environmental fate or field monitoring studies.
• Excellent written and spoken English; fluency in additional languages is a plus.
• Self-motivated individual with a proactive approach.
• Demonstrated leadership potential, combined with strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to manage complex tasks and prioritise effectively.

Work Location:

• This position offers the flexibility of working from our office in Spain or remotely (Poland office opening soon).
• The client are open to assessing candidates in other EU Countries but please note this will be Self-Employed/Freelance/Consultant, or through an external payroll provider.
