DROP Barcelona is one of Spain's leading forces in electronic music. Since its inception in 2018, DROP has become synonymous with organising some of the most uplifting, explosive, and inclusive music events in Barcelona, throwing parties in many of the city's greatest electronic music venues.
As an independently owned business, we are able to follow our hearts when it comes to curating our musical program. To date, we have booked a diverse range of acts representing the best in House and Disco including Folamour, Hunee, Chaos in the CBD, Bellaire, Joe Clausell, Dave Lee (Joey Negro), Louie Vega, Danny Krivit, Jamie 3:26, Dan Shake, Demuja, Crazy P, Black Loops, The Shapeshifters, Toy Tonics, Rush Hour and many more.

Responsibilities
The DROP family is growing! We are looking for a Head of Marketing to bring our marketing strategy to the next level. This person will play an essential role in helping us achieve our short-term and long-term growth plans. This person should be a natural creative and people person. You must be able to think outside of the box to deliver groundbreaking marketing campaigns according to strict deadlines while liaising with a wide array of different stakeholders. Above all, you must be truly passionate about creating some of the country's most uplifting & inclusive dance music events.
The role involves:
Leading and managing the DROP marketing team, including a full-time Social Media Manager and 3-4 part-time/freelance designers, photographers, videographers, and collaborators.
Developing marketing strategies mixing PR, email, digital, and print according to our event schedule and business goals.
Planning and optimizing marketing strategies for various platforms, such as our website, Instagram, SoundCloud, YouTube, and more.
Building brand awareness, audience engagement, and sales across all channels whilst delivering ground-breaking campaigns.
Sharing strategic goals with the Social Media Manager so they can craft and execute a content calendar for social media.
Liaising with other content creators (designers, photographers, videographers), artists (DJs, dancers), and partners (venues, promoters) to ensure timely content production for both organic and paid channels.
Optimizing marketing processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness both internally and interdepartmentally.
Developing and maintaining a consistent brand. Helping to launch new related event brands.
Monitoring KPI and OKR progress. Communicating metrics to our Founder and adjusting future plans accordingly.
Identifying relevant marketing collaborations and developing partnerships with influencers and thought leaders.
Bringing new, fresh and viral ideas to the table - we want a new perspective.
Taking our marketing approach to the next level.
Requirements
Based in Barcelona.
Native English and fluent Spanish essential.
Experienced marketing managers with ambitions to grow and lead a startup through to the next phase (5+ years of experience).
Demonstrated experience delivering high-performing marketing campaigns. Knowledge of full marketing mix and familiarity with a variety of marketing tools and software.
Demonstrated experience managing a full marketing team and planning successful short-term and long-term strategies.
Demonstrated experience successfully managing paid social campaigns and CRM systems.
Have deep expertise in the electronic music scene. Previous experience working in the sector is required.
