Misión The client advise other companies (mostly independent industrials, financial institutions or utilities) on strategic projects in either equity (M&A, venture or growth capital) or debt (project finance, private placements, LBOs) transactions. After a quick international growth, the companie launched a new scope of services in January 2022, including Offtake advisory for the origination and structuring of long-term green commodities agreements, such as PPAs, Biomethane (BPA), Voluntary Emissions Reduction (ERPA) Hydrogen (HPA). This new scope of services is complementing and enhancing the M&A and Project Finance practices already offered by Finergreen for renewables markets globally. With this new service Finergreen can link the financial world including banks, funds, and investors; to the commodities world, including utilities, traders, and corporates who discuss long term contracts (PPAs, BPAs, HPAs, ERPAs) with developers. Perfil We require the profile to assume high levels of responsibility immediately with direct exposure to clients, while respecting the high-quality standards of the company. Your main contribution will be to support client´s team with a global mandate. You will play a key role in the success the Offtake advisory team, by assisting our clients with the structuring and deal closing of Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), and other long-term agreements (incl. biomethane, hydrogen or voluntary carbon markets). The position shall include market analysis skills, ability to understand price trends and market fundamentals, risks related to project development, financing and/ or energy commodities. A good understanding and knowledge of long-term contractual frameworks with the ability to review Term Sheets or contracts, in order to propose relevant advices shall be part of the position as well, as part of the overall operational/commercial activities. You will be part of a young and dynamic team, report to the Managing Partner who will rely on you for the successful execution of Offtake Advisory mandates. You will learn great deal-making skills from a talented and dedicated team of experts, with clear future opportunities to develop in the company, and even working abroad if desired. You will also be able to take part in the development of new products such as biomethane, hydrogen, or voluntary carbon markets, upon requirements from the team. The position appeals to candidates with hands-on experience or behaviour, who seek a challenging opportunity. Your main tasks will be: ► Market Intelligence o Prepare market reports; o Carry out market research; o Look into value chain and sustainability commitments of Corporates. ► Detect opportunities o Collaborate in the screening of market players (Project Developers, Utilities, Traders, Corporates, and other stakeholders); o Identifying key commercial contacts; o Participate to introductory calls with partners; ► Marketing activities and execution o Draft client pitches; o Attend meetings and negotiations; o Contribute to communications, marketing or other material for the company; o Monitor execution processes of offtake advisory mandates; o Liaise and coordinate with internal legal team and external clients; o CRM database management (meeting minutes, counterparties updates). ► Legal expertise o Ability to review termsheets and PPA / BPA / VERPA contracts; o Provide legal advice in the writing of commercial clauses (global scope, different renewable technologies); o Conduct and support contract negotiations. o Improve legal expertise (from a commercial point of view) and contract models; Requirements The ideal candidate will be a dynamic, young profile with an outstanding academic track record and previous recognized experience working in the energy sector. General knowledge of the energy industry, project development or Project finance in renewables (solar, wind, biomass, biomethane, hydrogen…), electricity & gas supply contracts are a great plus.
