Role
We are looking for a Clinical Application Specialist in Optometry who will be instrumental in the growth and expansion of .
The successful candidate will join our clinical development department, working together with the R&D, marketing and sales departments to validate, improve and stablish in real clinical environments new devices and businesses in the field of eye care. The ideal candidate will have enthusiasm about supporting the growth of the team, a desire to be challenged, and strong collaboration and communication skills, as well as interest in working in the dynamic, fast-paced and versatile environment of a start-up.
Responsibilities
As a Clinical Application Specialist at 2EyesVision, you will be responsible for providing expert clinical guidance and support to healthcare professionals, ophthalmologists, optometrists and customers in the effective utilization of our advanced ophthalmology devices.
Your input fostering strong clinical understanding and product knowledge, to surgeons, optometrists, technicians, and other support staff will contribute to the success of our products in the market, increasing clinicians’ confidence and adoption of 2EyesVision’s products .
Key responsibilities
- Provide on-site and/or remote clinical application support to customers by providing scientific and technical information in response to client enquiries by collaborating with technical service, R&D and Sales teams, as appropriate.
- Provide technical and clinical training, education and ongoing clinical support to train physicians, optometrists, technicians, distributors, and other users of 2EyesVision’s products.
- Ensure clinical training is scheduled for new users and support the installation and configuration of new customer equipment within their clinical flow.
- Troubleshoot and, if possible, address equipment failures on-site.
- Provide remote clinical guidance and product support for customers when not traveling.
- Demonstrate equipment functionality, optimal technique, and best practices.
- Attend and assist with demonstrations at medical congresses, tradeshows, fellowships, conferences, exhibits, seminars, and wet labs, as requested by senior management.
- Support with demonstrations to potential customers in pre-sales activities of 2EyesVision’s products and serve as a clinical consultant to support sales activities and distributor partners.
- Proactive search and collection of clinician’s feedback to ensure their success, maintaining constant communication on clinical performance of products to R&D, technical and marketing departments via the dedicated communication channels.
- Promote client engagement and maintain professional communication with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs).
- Provide clear and accurate documentation of each site visit via a standardized reporting mechanism (CRM Tool).
- Identify and report relevant occurrences and inquiries in a timely fashion to the appropriate departments.
- Validate and improve new medical devices and businesses in the field of eye care in real clinical environments.
- Support in the development and conduct of clinical studies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Optometry . Any other advanced degrees are a plus.
- Fluency in Spanish and English (C1 as a minimum).
- Clinical experience in Ophthalmology or Optometry with a deep understanding of ophthalmic devices and their clinical applications. Experience in research studies, premium IOLs, CLs, refractive surgery or cataract surgery is also desired.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with patients, eye care practitioners and managers.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a customer-centric approach.
- Flexibility to adapt to new tasks and work environments.
- Availability to travel nationally and internationally 25-50% of the time as needed.
- Motivation and autonomy working in an innovative and demanding environment. Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Team player, organized and capable of managing different projects simultaneously. Attention to detail.
- Adjustment to change, resetting of priorities, time management skills, resourcefulness, initiative.
