• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business administration.
• Five (5) or more years of progressive experience in one of the following areas: Customer Service, Sales Support, General Accounting, including at least 2 year managerial experience as a team leader or supervisor.
• Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with other departments, to promote best practices and drive continuous improvements, and to develop solutions to business challenges.
• Excellent customer service skills, strong analytical and problem solving skills, attention to detail.
• Experience in working in an international environment with remote teams is highly preferred.
• Proficient in all Microsoft Software, Oracle and a CRM system like Salesforce is a plus.

Americold is looking to hire an experienced European Billing Supervisor / Team Leader responsible for managing and establishing the new European Customer Billing - Invoicing structure including the effective roll out of the selected new technology to support the standardized European Billing process.

This is a newly created role in the European finance structure of Americold. Main duties fall into two categories:

1. Supporting the European ERP migration project by acting as the Customer Billing subject matter expert track lead; and
2. Post ERP migration project, lead the European Customer Billing function ensuring efficient, timely and accurate completion of the periodic customer invoicing process across Europe as well as maintaining the system accurately with rate and charge codes, plus other ad hoc task as required

Key Responsibilities:

ERP migration project

• Obtain knowledge of local business needs, requirements and system functionality and in-depth knowledge of the (new) global design process to be implemented for Customer Billing;
• Defines sources of data and business rules for data conversion and interfaces;
• Provides input into the design and construction of test cases and business scenarios;
• Executes User Acceptance Testing
• Validates executed test results and ensure business requirements are met
• Participates in change management activities as required
• Consults with Finance and Project Track leads to resolve issues

Post ERP migration

• Supervising and guiding day-to-day operational activities of customer billing function;
• Liaise with various operational stakeholders to obtain information required for customer invoicing in a timely manner;
• Coordinate approval of draft invoices with operations managers under tight time frames;
• Raise invoices and credit notes in the invoicing system by required deadlines;
• Respond to internal and external customer queries in a timely manner;
• Liaise with accounting to ensure accurate revenue recognition and completeness;
• Liaise with IT to ensure customer master file data and charge codes are appropriately maintained;
• Register and maintain of claims in the register file;
• Distribute and follow up claims to the relevant Operations Manager and site administration team;
• Assist in the investigation of claims and provide outcomes of such investigation to the relevant Operations Manager and site administration team;
• Coordinate approval of credit notes in line with the limits of authority;
• Ensure tasks are conducted to Americold SOX standard, and the department is meeting all SOX requirements.
• Oversee month-end closing activities and reporting for customer invoicing processes;
• Other duties may be assigned when needed.
