Job description
SmartAssets is on the lookout for an enthusiastic Junior AI Engineer to join our innovative team. In this role, you will contribute to the development and maintenance of AI-driven features and support the enhancement of our platform by engaging in both new and ongoing projects through development, testing, and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop AI and machine learning models to support and enhance our current workflows
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI technologies with other system components.
- Ensure the scalability and efficiency of AI solutions.
- Maintain and improve existing AI features, adapting to new technologies and methodologies.
- Participate in code and design reviews to uphold high-quality standards.
- Own the analysis & measurement of ad-hoc studies, measuring marketing effectiveness
Requirements
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Strong understanding of version control tools, preferably Git.
- Basic knowledge of Docker.
- Proficiency in Python and familiarity with AI and machine learning libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn).
- Strong understanding of algorithms, data structures, and software engineering principles.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and manage project timelines.
- Strong problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Data Science fundamentals
Preferred Skills (Bonuses)
- Experience with cloud computing platforms (GCP) and their AI services.
- Familiarity with front-end technologies for AI-driven application development.
- Understanding of data engineering and the ability to work with large datasets.
Languages
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Experience
- Demonstrated ability to apply theoretical knowledge in practical scenarios, through traditional employment, freelance projects, open-source contributions, or coding bootcamps.
