Job Description Summary:Renantis is looking for a Wind Lead Engineer to be based in Madrid, who will manage and lead a team of Project Engineers to support the delivery Renantis’ wind projects. Our involvement cover the whole project lifecycle, from site identification and initial design through to contracting, construction and operation. The Wind Engineering team will manage and contribute to the development of feasibility and conceptual studies, preliminary and executive design & cost estimates, energy resource assessments and yield analysis and well as participating in technical due diligence. The split of managerial and project engineering duties is expected to be a 30/70. Ideally the candidate will have a strong Wind background and has developed a number of projects from concept through to construction, preferably in different geographies. Job Description:Main Responsibilities:The assessment and delivery of all technical aspects of projects including, layout definition, yield assessment, geotechnical, technology selection, engineering design and constructability working in team with the other departments. Work with internal procedures and processes to prioritise the team workload, report on progress, as well as deliver work on time. Manage and monitor team’s targets and define organisational matters. Conduct and manage consultancies in the technical due diligence of M&A dealsPerform site visits to assess the site as and when neededIdentify and optimise key components to achieve cost effectiveness and system reliabilityWork with the energy and site team in the optimisation of wind layouts, support in the main equipment selectionUpdating and optimisation of contractual schedules, such as Employer’s RequirementsProvide input into site specific project development budgets and delivery programmesAssist procurement, PM and BD managers with generation of CAPEX estimatesReview EPC, equipment supply and O&M proposals from contractorsOther tasks defined by the line managerKey Requirements:Capacity to work in an international teamFluent English and SpanishExperience in delivering “bankable” projects for Project FinancingGood team leadershipUnderstanding project consent processExperience in using Wind Modelling Software (WindPro, WAsP)Knowledge of Microsoft toolsPragmatic and creative problem solvingExcellent communication skills (internal and external stakeholders and partners, technical and non-technical)Full clean driving licenseEducational BackgroundDegree in Engineering or Related FieldDesirable skills & experienceOther languages, in particular Italian, are desirableInvolvement in PV and wind plant constructionWhat do we expect from you?
