Job Description SummaryJob Description REAL-WORLD SOLUTIONS At Alira Health, the Real-World Solutions (RWS) team is closely connected to our Patient-Centered Technology Solutions, Consulting, Patient Engagement, Medical Strategy, Regulatory, Clinical, and Biometrics, practices. The RWS practice covers the design, execution, and communication of real-world evidence (RWE) needs across all customer segments. As of late 2023, the Global RWS brings together about 15 people in Barcelona, Basel, Lisbon, London and Paris in Europe, and Toronto in Canada. The RWS Team consists of multidisciplinary experts, with deep knowledge in different fields, including RWE Methods an Analytics, Epidemiology, Health Economics, Outcomes Research, patient-generated experience data, and digital solutions, with a solid background in Market Access for some of the team members. REAL-WORLD SOLUTIONS ACTIVITY The Real-World Solutions team supports a variety of clients in the life sciences industry, mainly manufacturers , and works closely with clients in Europe and the USA. One of our main activities is to support the design and execution of real-world observational studies . These include secondary data sources or , from the primary collection of RWD, leveraging either the Alira Health’s digital health solutions that allow us to collect data directly from patients , or the Alira Health Clinical Operations team . Secondly, we also support our clients in design ing strategic integrated evidence plans that include RWE , supporting the value demonstration of technologies. THE EPIDEMIOLOGIST ROLE As an epidemiologist , you will combine your skills in epidemiology, (or related) together with your strategic mindset to participate in projects ensuring that the client’s evidence needs are met. You will identify evidence-related solutions to address research questions , you will play a key role in study design, developing study protocols, interpreting, and presenting data, and communication materials e. g. , abstracts, posters , and manuscripts. DESIRED SKILLS AND RESPONSIBILITIES Master's or Ph. D. in Epidemiology or a related field E xperience in epidemiological research , and study design Strong proficiency in statistical analysis and data management software Serves as Senior Epidemiologiston client-facing and internal projects Plays a key role in finding real-world solutions to address client evidence needs and supports the development of business proposals Develops , and reviews relevant epidemiological outputs including protocols, study reports, manuscripts , and other study documents with independent, critical thinking to ensure quality and completeness of deliverables Interpret and communicate research findings to diverse stakeholders Develops and provides relevant epidemiological input to statistical analysis plans and analysis output Contributes to the coaching of other team members Excellent communication (written and oral) skills Solution-oriented , abl e to leverage their keen environmental awareness to develop practical and actional solutions to challenges Ability to work collaboratively and prioritize tasks WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS Travels to customers and Alira Health offices.
