IQVIA’s Medical Evidence Practice (MEP) and Patient Centered Solutions (PCS)
Our MEP team’s mission statement is to support the expansion of patients’ access to innovative medicines by planning, generating, and disseminating high quality medical evidence. Our Patient Centered Solutions team, within this practice, delivers on strategic research that amplifies the patient’s voice in this evidence generation process.
The PCS team leads the industry in the science of measuring the patient experience. We help our clients by applying our consulting expertise and technical scientific knowledge to design and execute scientifically rigorous research that incorporates the patient voice into the development and commercialization of new medicines. This research includes qualitative (e.g., patient interviews, focus groups), quantitative (e.g., clinical outcome assessments (COAs)/patient-reported outcomes (PROS), preference research) and passive (e.g., digital health technology tools) approaches to understand patient, caregiver and physician experiences and expectations of disease and treatment.

What will you do?
As an Associate you’ll be actively participating in the design, development, and delivery of consulting projects. Typically, you will work on 2 projects at the same time and your role will include:
Conducting primary and secondary research such as interviewing patients and clinical experts, reviewing published literature, and searching databases of trials and validated measures
Performing quantitative or qualitative analysis to assist in the generation of insights and the development of reports client deliverables
Communicating strategic insights and recommendations to clients
Supporting the development of intellectual property for use on future consulting engagements
Helping create high impact reports, presentations, workshops, and other client deliverables, with help from experienced team leaders
Assisting with business development and proposals
Skills & Experience:
Proven analytical, interpretative and problem-solving skills
Proven interest in patient-centered-related research and topics (e.g., Clinical Outcome Assessment, Patient-Reported Outcome).
Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills and an ability to build credibility with external and internal contacts
Good commercial awareness/business judgement and an interest in the healthcare / life sciences industry
Strong IT literacy e.g., Word, PowerPoint, Excel
Good time management and organizational skills
Attention to detail and ability to deliver high quality work within timeline
The desire to learn and commitment to a rapid development curve
Be a self-starter who thrives in a client-focused, international team environment
Qualification and Other Desired Skills
Minimum an undergraduate degree with a strong academic track record in life sciences, economics/business, social sciences and/or experience in the pharma or health care industry
Excellent conversational and business English (written and oral)
Knowledge of consulting methodologies, tools and techniques is a big plus
A solid track record of extra-curricular achievement
A strong commitment to high quality work and an interest in rapid learning and skill development
Important practical information:
The position will be available at the end of April/ beginning of May 2024 (date to be confirmed based on candidate's avaialbility)
The role is available in hybrid mode; therefore, candidate must be able to commute to Madrid or Amsterdam on a regular basis
