Job description

FOOD & BEVERAGE DIVISION In order to get a clear overview what positions offered as a trainee, we have created a list of the departments within the F&B Division. Please be reminded that this information serves as a guide. During the first day at the hotel, the welcome day, you will have an interview with your divisional leader. After this interview, the divisional leader will decide in which department you would develop your skills best. While considering your profile, the divisional leader will place you in a department where you will have a great impact. Furthermore, you will have opportunities for lateral service, which gives you the change to develop your talents in other departments. F&B Tasks: Greet and escort customers to their tables, present menu and provide detailed information when asked (e. g. about portions, ingredients or potential food allergies), prepare tables by setting up linens, silverware and glasses, inform customers about the day’s specials, offer menu recommendations upon request, up-sell additional products when appropriate, take accurate food and drinks orders, using a POS ordering software, order slips or by memorization, communicate order details to the Kitchen Staff, arrange table settings and maintain a tidy dining area, deliver checks and collect bill payments, meet with restaurant staff to review daily specials, changes on the menu and service specifications for reservations (e. g. parties), etc. ENOTECA: Our two Michelin star restaurant Enoteca, overseen by renowned Catalan chef PacoPérez. Inspired by the food and produce of the Mediterranean, an innovative cooking brings outthe essence of high quality local ingredients, with an emphasis on fish and seafood. BITES: Our chic and relaxed Bites Restaurant, offers fast and informal dishes so that guests canenjoy a delicious meal at any time of the day, while our excellent team of Ladies take genuinecare of our guests. MARINA: Marina restaurant is the star of the summer season! Offering light, informal meals inthe open air, and being a challenging outlet where efficiency and sympathy are key to guests. Themenu features salads, cold soups, cheeses and wood-baked pizzas. BANQUETING: One of the biggest and most diverse departments of the hotel, where you havethe possibility to experience the most incredible events in the whole city. Hotel Arts hostsamazing events both inside and outside the hotel, in emblematic locations such as the Camp Nouor Casa Batlló. THE PANTRY: More than a restaurant, an innovative speakeasy concept where real food andstraightforward earthy gastronomy are the primal elements and sharing style cuisine is theuttermost goal. With the mission of spreading the Barcelonan culture, in the pantry you will liveeverything that so well defines the Mediterranean destination. LOKAL: Our breakfast buffet restaurant gives us the best occasion to create a strong and durablerelationship with our guests. Every morning should be the start of a perfect and memorable day.
