As a Senior Relationship Director, you will be responsible for a portfolio of customers in line with the strategy for business area within Corporate and Commercial Banking, with a focus on client acquisition, maintenance, relationship development and retention.
You'll drive advocacy of Santander UK in the marketplace and develop good working relationships with key business introducers, prospects, and customers.
As a Senior Relationship Director, you’ll demonstrate a client centric approach to deliver solutions for corporate clients to meet their short- and long-term needs working collaboratively with other areas of Santander UK
The difference you will make:
- Acting as first line of defence following the IAM Risk framework, managing all types of risk including credit, operational, conduct and reputational risk
- Managing and monitoring of portfolio of customers including the reporting and escalation of adverse trends
- Delivering against customer outcomes and act as an advocate for the customer and change in the organisation
- Developing and managing a portfolio of customer transactions, supporting customers and retaining and growing business
- Building and managing external relationships promoting CCB’s reputation and image with customers and external stakeholders
- Acting as a leader for change in business area and Line management responsibility and providing assistants to Regional Directors where required
What you will bring:
- Demonstrable experience and knowledge in the Corporate Banking market, able to structure and execute transactions independently
- A dvanced credit risk knowledge and detailed working knowledge of the wider corporate banking market and treasury management
It would also be nice for you to have:
- High degree of knowledge about the corporate market and its regulations and uses this to create new business opportunities ensuring adherences to policies and standards
- Responsible for managing, coaching and on-going development of Relationship Managers and less experienced Relationship Directors within team
- Ability to work with the relevant areas across the bank to meet the needs of the portfolio and for the approval of lending solutions
- Internal and external stakeholder relationship management

- Eligible for a discretionary performance-related annual bonus
- We put 8% of salary into your pension, even if you don’t contribute yourself. We’ll pay in up to 12.5% of salary, if you contribute as well, and you can take some of our contribution in cash if you prefer
- 30 days’ holiday plus bank holidays, which increases to 31 days after 5yrs service, with the option to purchase up to 5 contractual days per year
