Job description
What we are looking for:
- You take care of building, maintaining, and optimizing the infrastructure and data pipelines to store, process, and manage data efficiently and reliably
- You ensure the smooth flow, processing, storage, and availability of data
- You instill quality by adhering to the Definition of Done
- You do data quality checks to catch and resolve issues
- You optimize queries and fine-tune systems for performance improvements
- You diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues related to the data stack as L3 support
- You help to migrate the remaining on-prem tables and jobs to the cloud
- You interact with the data product owner, Power BI specialist, business analyst, and other data experts to set up and configure necessary data systems and infrastructure
- You define and document data structures, standards, and best practices
- You assist data consumers in understanding available data and its nuances
Essential experience:
- Experience with cloud data warehousing solutions and databases like Azure Synapse and Data Lake
- Strong coding skills, especially in languages like SQL and PySpark
- Deep understanding of ELT processes and data modeling
- Familiarity with cloud platforms like Azure and its data-related services
- Trusted to handle sensitive and proprietary information with discretion and professionalism
- (Nice to have) Proficiency in big data tools and frameworks such as Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, etc.
- A pronounced customer orientation
- Team player with a strong sense of responsibility, initiative and 100% willingness to continuously develop
- Familiar with working in an agile environment
- Proficient in English (at least C1)
Fully remote must be located in Spain
