We are currently recruiting a Brand Manager to join the Marketing team on a full time permanent contract basis. Reporting into the COO in our Barcelona office you will develop brand awareness by leveraging the UNIQLO global brand assets and positioning with the goal to develop and execute creative marketing strategies and tactics for the Spanish business.
This is a hybrid role with 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home. The role requires full fluency in English and Spanish, Catalan would also be an asset but not essential. Please submit your CV in English for us to assess your fluency level.
As Brand Manager you will be responsible for:
You will be responsible for the overall marketing management and strategy, including developing and implementing both short and long-term creative marketing strategies for the Spanish Market
Creating the seasonal marketing strategy and schedules working closely with Management in Spain, EU Marketing team and EU E-Commerce team to implement them.
Creating product marketing strategies and schedules to develop the focused product awareness
You will be adept at utilizing all relevant traditional (TV, print, catalog, outdoor, in store event) and non-traditional (SEO, SEM, Affiliates, Display, Social) marketing vehicles to increase brand awareness, traffic, online conversion, store sales and margin whether that be to the brick and mortar or online store. PR and sustainability will also be part of your remit.
Conduct weekly communication sessions with our in store teams to gather data, feedback, to support and inform plans.
You will manage relationships with external vendors and internal departments including Marketing, PR, Stores teams, Inventory, and Visual Merchandising teams.
Analysing the effectiveness of the activities and quickly come up with relevant action plans when needed, developing reports for each activity
Conceive and implement marketing strategies for store openings, which includes partnering with external agencies to ensure a successful launch
Collaborating with Store Operations, Visual Merchandising, E-Commerce and other internal functions to ensuring brand alignment, a synchronized approach, and a great customer experience
Drive effective, clear, and compelling communications resulting in increased traffic to stores and online
Reporting responsibilities for each activity
Campaign and product management advertising: briefing agencies and vendors, utilising visual assets and information from Global Marketing to support production of advertisement materials
Public Relations and Sustainability; overseeing the PR strategy alongside your internal and EU counterparts to maximize media coverage on the UNIQLO sustainability story nationally and internationally
Creating and implementing sustainability initiatives and campaigns to contribute to the local community inline with EU teams, generating customer engagement for UNIQLO
Serving as a liaison for brand spokespeople and press to orchestrate interviews, appearances, and brand feature
Team management; you will manage and develop the Spain PR Team, Sustainability Manager and the Digital SNS Specialist
What we are looking for:
Bachelor’s degree in marketing or higher degree
Minimum 8 years’ experience in marketing within fashion/apparel retail.
Experience of working as a part of a multinational team, working with different cultures and interacting with Global Headquarter members
Great communicator and inspiring leadership and excellent relationship builder with all stakeholder levels
Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise own workload and deliver to tight deadlines
Able to process information quickly and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Consistently maintain standards of excellence for deliverables
Able to quickly and efficiently adapt in dynamic and changing environments
Good at solving problems, constantly seeks to resolve challenges faced by the stores
Excellent fluency in English B2 or better. Must be a native Spanish speaker, fluency in Catalan would be an advantage but not a requirement
